2 years later, it's time. We pit the forum members against each other in a one-on-one duel to the death* and see who emerges the winner.

This time, I'm running things (with Syd's permission). It'll be a little different, no obscure video game characters to "balance the bracket" so to speak. It's forumer against forumer.

Here's how it works:

Entering:If you want to enter, PM me that you wish to enter. That is the ONLY way you get in. Saying you want to enter in this thread, by E-mail, by hired goon, or any other way will not work.
I have come to the decision that this is fucking stupid. While I would prefer that you PM me (with the promo), just mentioning you want in should be fine.
The deadline is Saturday, Feb. 28th at 7 PM (Eastern Time), there will be NO late entries allowed.
Include a short promo piece that I can use that tells who you are and why we should vote for you. If you don't, I'm gonna make one up for you, and it will not be flattering.

Brackets: Brackets will be done randomly and selected LIVE! in the Sydlexia IRC Chat Room at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Feb. 28th. The first match will begin as soon as they are done.

Voting: Polls will run for at most 72 hours (give or take a few). The person with the most votes advances to the next round. The loser...doesn't. If there is a tie, the polls run 24 more hours. If it's still a tie after that...I'll figure something out.
I reserve the right to end any poll early if it's a clear blowout.

Campaigning: Follow the rules of the forums when promoting yourself. If you have any sort of powers that your opponent does not have (moderator status, chat room ops, wiki admin, etc), you may not use them to gain an advantage in any way. Blatant trolling and flaming your opponent should be done in NWO, if at all. And above all, don't be an ass. This is all common sense shit, yeah, but if I don't say it, someone will do it.

The Winner: ...gets nothing. Well, they can say they won. But that's about it.

One Rule To Ring Them All: This is all in good fun. Do not take it seriously. If you feel you're gonna take it too seriously, don't enter.

(*Death not guaranteed nor even very likely unless some members are more emo than I'm expecting)

Anyone entering after the 32nd entrant (JimmyLazer) will go through an extra round. Their opponent will be selected randomly.

It sort of is. I just didn't feel throwing in a whole bunch of obscure video game characters to embarrasingly lose to.

Syd has lobbied for the return of the Chicken, however, and depending on how the brackets fall, he just may make it.

You can put as much or as little into your "campaign" as you want. If you just wanna sit there and let your name do the talking, that's fine. If you put "Vote for me" in your sig, that's fine. If you tell everyone, "Vote for me, or I'll kill, skin, and fuck your dog", that's...disturbing, and probably not fine. But allowed.
