Again with The Kirby.

The NES Drinking Saga, Part IX has been completed and posted.

Also, if anyone would like to review the site for Amazon.com, go for it. I could do it myself, but what fun is that?

I’ve had a shocking and painful revelation.
I’ve realize that Tebor is actually an alter ego of Syd, and he has been posting comments
on his own message board just to make it seem more popular.
You thought no one would ever figure it out didn’t you? But it’s blatantly obvious when
    you put the pieces together.
You see, this is a sight about 80-95 pop culture, and Tebor is Reboot backwards. AHA!
Yes, we all remember Reboot, the original computer animated television show, long before
the tripe of Jimmy Neutron, and the less tripish Transfomers: Beast Wars
We all loved the show that gave us such classics as “slow food” “alpha numeric” and made
us antagonize the “user”, until we realized that the user was us and suddenly felt terrible
for turning all those skinny cyclopses and round fuckers into slugs. Made us regret
stomping all those baddies to the point where we could never enjoy a game of
    Bump ‘n’ Jump ever again.

So, there you have it. The secret exposed, the conspiracy blown wide open. My heart will
go on, yes, but there will always be that empty feeling of betrayal and the heart-attack
    feeling I get when I eat McDonald’s

    Adieu

I know you were kidding, but I am still going to give a long, boring reply. I am not Tebor nor is Tebor a paid advocate of the site. If the reply forms logged IP, I could prove at least one of these claims. If I was trying to make the news section* seem more popular, I would put a lot more effort into it, creating dozens of fake names to praise my site. That or I’d coerce my good friend and registered SydLexia.com user cybersst into shilling for me on the site. Of course, none of that ultimately accomplishes anything. My goal is to generate more hits and one does not do that by praising oneself on their own site. No, that is accomplished by advertising the site on other forums and getting people to visit it. This is not something that I have actively praticed either, because I find it to be cheesy and rather noobish; if your site is worth viewing, people will eventually find it on their own.

Back to Tebor. Sadly, I think may have disenfranchised my loyal fan when I took forever to post Part II of the Mortal Kombat article. It’s been over a week since his last post and I wonder if he’s become bored with the site. I kinda feel like I let him down in some way.

Reboot was a good show that never quite got the attention it deserved. I had thought Beast Wars predated Reboot but I was actually thinking of rebroadcasts of the 1984 series that took place between 1993 and 1994 with brief introductions by a CGI Optimus Prime as well as CGI bumpers. Also you forgot to mention Nickelodeon’s other horrible attempt at a computer-animated series: Butt-Ugly Martians. Not even Robert Stack could save that show.

    WARNING! Incoming Game.

*The news section of SydLexia.com is not a message board per se. It is more of a blog/journal type thing where I update people on what’s currently going on with the site and they can reply if they want to. I would like to add an actual forum at some point, but right now it doesn’t seem necessary.

bush daughters lesbian. terri shiavo naked. world war II. civil war. lost spoilers.

    Congratulations on being #1

Trillions of people will see this site now. Beast Wars sucks. The song at the end of Reboot Season 3 rules.

I agree. Not only is the song hilarious, but being a theatre buff, I can also
appreciate any reference, parody or otherwise, to Gilbert and Sullivan.
“When Bob went face to face to face to face with hexadecimal,
His chances of survival went from small to infinitesimal.”

Whoa, sorry, for my lack of posting times. I didn’t realize my identity was in question. I’ve never been called an alter ego before.

Actually, Tebor is MY name backwards: Robert (minus an “R” because Trebor sounds retarded and ghey).

I haven’t posted for awhile because: A). Lack of updates (but nowhere as long as it takes me to disappear forever). B). I do have a life outside this site. C). This life involves some horribly painful papers that need to be written.

I LOVE this site! There’s yet to be one thing Syd has written that hasn’t had me choking to nigh-death of laughter. Syd doesn’t let me down, I let Syd down :(

As for Reboot, many fond memories of that show return to me. I was never that big of a fan of it, but I did like their X-Files ripoff characters whenever they appeared. However, this is hardly worth creating a handle name over. Besides, Reboot backwards is “Toober” and that’s just wrong.

Valdronius, sorry to say your heart must now stop for this horrible mistake. From any of my posts can tell, I am nowhere near as funny nor witty as Syd. How you could make this mistake absolutely confuses me, but thanks for the Reboot memory if nothing else.

    Good journey!

    Darth Vader is not Raphel.

  • Posted by Syd Lexia on May 6th, 2005 at 7:26 pm

I know, but the Raphael Pez dispenser is essentially a red palette swap of Donatello, so I decided to use Darth Vader instead to mix things up a little. Did I just use the phrase palette swap in reference to real world object? I think I did.
