This is the actual recipe for chocolate chip cookies that Hillary Clinton gave out during her husband's 1992 presidential campaign. This helped Bill clinch the coveted housewife vote. When Hillary's not busy eating the souls of babies or planning her own presidential run, she's baking. If you're a girl and you refuse to bake, then you're a bigger bitch than Mrs. Clinton. Is that really what you want out of life?

Hillary Clinton's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup solid vegetable shortening
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips

1) Preheat oven to 350F. Brush baking sheets lightly with vegetable oil.

2) Mix together flour, salt and baking soda on waxed paper.

3) Beat together the shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer. Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour mixture and oats. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop batter by well-rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.

4) Put baking sheets in oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool cookies on sheets for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes seven dozen cookies.
