i'm not sure if anyone has been keeping track of this but it seems to be updated weekly. I have yet to read the majority of the list but i'm disappointed where some villains place. My money is on The Joker to be #1, but then again i am a Bat-Fan.

It will come down to The Joker and Lex Luther, that much I am sure. Ra's Al Ghul better be in the top ten as well.

Dr. Doom better be at #1, he is by far the best villain in my opinion.

Is that a mutant dong?

Seriously, though. I only remember Deathstrike from that one episode of the cartoon. Why is she on this list again?

Mr. Freeze shouldn't be any higher than that really, and the Penguin was a pretty silly villain until he became DC's verion of the Kingpin.

People I didn't see who should be in contention for the top 10:
Dr. Doom
Magneto
Lex Luther
The Joker
Norman Osbourne (Probably won't make it since he's been turned into Lex Luther)
The Hood (Probably won't make it since he only recently became so awesome)
Sinestro
Galactus
Venom
Catwoman
Apocalypse
Onslaught
Darkseid
Ra's Al Ghul
Superboy-Prime

I still think Dr. Doom should have been #1 on that list. But Magneto is still pretty badass.

Dr. Doom is somewhat of an inspiration for me. Not in the power hungry dictator kind of way but I really admire his intellect and how he never really thinks of something that didn't work out as a failure but just as a minor setback.

Dr. Doom greater than Lex Luther?

I contest that.

The rest of the Top 10 is okay.

IGN really needs to learn the art of putting things like this on one page... or at least less than the amount they have. I guess they don't teach that in college.

Interesting top 10.

The top 10 was all right. I figured people like Dr. Doom, and The Joker would be high up on that list. As for Luthor I like him a lot as well. Both him and Dr. Doom are my favorite villains because of their superior intellect. I really love villains that use their brains and can outsmart some of the best heroes and/or other villains. I remember one time Dr. Doom outsmarting Mephisto and convincing all of his demons and minions to turn on him. Outsmarting the Marvel equivalent or Satan himself is pretty damned cool.

Galactus will rank higher than Doom IMO.

He played a significantly higher threat to the Fantastic 4 (and the the world in general).

Speaking of which, doesn't anyone else find it a bit off that Satan appears twice on this list (in low spots no less) just with a name change of Mephisto and Lucifer

I'm sorry, Captain Cold (and a bunch of other random people) over freaking DOC OCK?? That = major fail imho.

EDIT: Where the fuck was Deadpool??? I just got to the end of the list; did I just miss him or did they seriously leave out one of my favorite villains of all time?!

^ FAILURE

This panel alone should have assured his place:

God dammit I love Deadpool. Then again, maybe he doesn't count as a full-on "villain." I guess he's more of a mercenary anti-hero. BUT STILL!

^ Ahahahahahaha!

In further protest, I present the following:

"How [peanuts] must HATE their cruel, cruel master--THE SHELL! ...That uncaring despoiler of legume romance!"

Makes no sense. Funny as hell. In a word: Deadpool. Laughing

For the record, this may be my favorite moment of all time:

I really hope they use Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool spin-off movie, and they better make it good. Now having a scene like that comic in the movie would be hilarious.

No shit. Ryan Reynolds was awesome in Wolverine, for what he got to play. If the fight scene he had as Wade Wilson in the boardroom was any indication ("Okay! People are dead now!"), he's got the moves and the funny down pretty good. As Weapon XI, he head the cold blooded lethality. He's a good choice for the character for sure. (Although...Cyclops eyebeams? Really? Rolling Eyes I guess they just wanted to surprise fans who already knew him. I know it shocked the shit out of me lol.)

The only major reservation I have with a Deadpool movie is how unbelievably brutal his origin story is. I mean, I guess they could skip a lot of the held prisoner/tortured as a test subject/killed his best friend after the bad guys lobotomized him stuff...but that's a huge part of who he is and why he's so unabashedly, crazy. Either they gloss over it, water it down, or make it R-rated. (Which is my preference, but I assume that will never happen.)

I haven't seen Wolverine but Ryan Reynolds is a really funny guy. Plus apparently he is a huge Deadpool fan and I read somewhere he said he probably wouldn't do the Deadpool movie if they messed it up. The only reason I want to even see Wolverine is for the Wade Wilson parts with Reynolds.

Here is an interview with Ryan Reynolds about Deadpool, this was before the spin-off was announced but he is definately the guy I wany to play him. Listen to the part near the end where he says that it would be his dream to do a totally faithful movie of the Deadpool character...breaking the forth wall, and all that.
