Remember about three months ago, when I posted this trailer on the forums?

Well, I finally did it. A month late due to various technical errors (fucking copyright protection software), but here it is nonetheless.

Please, tell me what you think. I will be doing more and this is only the first one, but I would definitely appreciate some feedback.

You should post trailers or additional content of some sort on youtube to drum up more views.

Step one : Release popular video series on the internet
Step two: ?
Step three: profit

Though seriously it looks good. It might of been a little long but with it's convoluted plot there really isn't much can leave out.

Actually, I have the review on youtube in two parts with a few scenes cut out, and annotations linking to the "full uncut version" you see here.

Hey, I liked it a lot! Quite amusing. Do you have a link to your youtube channel, though? I searched Necro Critic, and came up with ziltch.

Sure. Though, don't watch the first video, it blows. I'm gonna continue the What Pisses Me Off thing, but now I'm doing it as The Necro Critic.

I liked it! Also, I was surprised that you actually look like your avatar.

If I were to make one suggestion, I'd recommend looking into a new backdrop. Ideally I might go for a completely dark space and some strong backlighting on you to enhance the "Necro Critic" persona, but that's just me.

Yeah I agree with that, the background was kind of busy, even saw a cat at one point.

I liked it. You have a good voice for reviews too. I'm gonna agree with DM and say the only thing that would make it better is a set of sorts for your review. Even just a dim "Viewing room" with the lighting on you would be enough imo.

The thing is, I live with my mom. As such, it's really hard to find anywhere in the house to film without people bugging me, but I'm looking to fix that issue.

BTW, I plan on mentioning Press Start in one of my reviews. Best videogame movie ever!

Hey, thanks!! Very Happy

Regarding the backdrop, I know that not having control over your environment can make things tricky. Here's a couple of options, though, that might at least get you thinking about other possibilities. First, there's always the Blank Wall approach that seems to work for the reviewers at ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com. It's pretty bland, but it gets the job done and doesn't draw attention away from the presenter (i.e. you).

Alternatively, if you have a local costume shop (or check online), they may have some cheap set dressing stuff that you could use to dress the wall and add a little ambience... like this. Stick it on your wall with some poster tack or masking tape (something tremporary), turn off the lights except some back and/or side light on you (a desk lamp or two?) and voila! Cheap set.
