1. download and install MIRC.
2. Run MIRC. By default, it will connect you to a DALnet server
3. Pick a username and whatnot
4. When the channel window pops up, type in #sydlexia and join
5. Alternatively, you can type "/join #sydlexia" into the status window to join

You will get stuck with the nag screen, but you can still use it past 30 days. It's super easy to find a crack though if you know where to look...
I was an irc head for many years, but not so much anymore. I'll see what's good with the chatroom when I get a chance though.

2 top IRC clients for Macs are IRCle and Snak, both mIRC compatible.
But due to Macs being slammed to fuck around these parts, I don't think anyone uses one =P

I use Conversation for Mac. It works pretty easily. Maybe I'll write up some instructions later.
Edit: wrote up some quick instructions for Conversation for the Mac. Feel free to format it to your standards. Mac users let me know if the instructions are clear enough.
