The fuck? No one rocks more than him. That is like a scientific fact to me.

Megadeth. Been getting more and more into their middle era stuff like The System Has Failed but I swear by Peace Sells.

What the fuck *doesn't* require the Goron Special Crop?

I've been listening to a lot of The Flaming Lips recently, and have been dying to chat with someone else who does. In particular I've been digging Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots and At War With the Mystics. I've also been listening to a lot of Deadmau5, as well as Lotus. I recently discovered Nightmares on Wax which has a nice, mellow electronic feel to it from time to time. They remind me a lot of Lemon Jelly, to be honest.

Admitting to my incorrect opinion. I just got different first impressions of him.

You probably remembered "Love Interruption", his first single from his new album, wich is not a rock and roll track.

Or he remembers the first White Stripes album, which is just lo-fi treble filled noise with a shitty "rhythm section".

Pretty much. They definitely got better from there. Their later stuff is a lot easier to listen to.

Listened to the first album, and while it was good, holy shit it blew my eardrums out with treble (didn't help I heard it on earbuds). There was just nothing to counteract Jack's high pitched wailing (wailing not being an insult here, I always liked his voice). I have a feeling it would have fallen in with my similar punk vinyls at the time, but it was definitely not a headphone album. After that, I liked "Seven Nation Army" and "You Don't Know What Love Is," but not enough to buy an album of theirs. I've since given his other a projects a listen, and will probably dive into The Raconteurs some more.

Currently listening to Mercedes Benz (the acapella one) by Janis Joplin, as it's been stuck in my head for a few days. I'm also pretty depressed on how many anti-Obama fuckwits have jacked it on Youtube, completely missing the point of the song. I can't wait for baby-boomers to start dying.

Wooooooord

As Facebook's self-appointed DJ (I probably post more songs than statuses these days) I'm coming up with a list of my personal favorite love songs for Valentine's day. I'm currently listening to Let's Get it On by Marvin Gaye and trying to determine if it makes the cut or not.

Been listening to a lot of Miranda Lambert lately. Not a big country fan, but she's really damn good. A lot of her stuff sounds more old school rock and roll than it does country at least to me.

Who by David Byrne and St. Vincent. It's off one of my favorite albums from last year.

This Kirby's Dream Land 2 track reminded me of all those times playing the original Game Boy on rainy day car rides.

For some reason Avenged Sevenfold reminds me of certain NES games. I'm not sure why that is...

Lately I've been listening to some Slipknot, Weezer, Dishwalla, Queens of the Stone Age, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
