A couple this year.
Leon aka The Professional. Good movie, but a 12 year old Natalie Portman trying to act all seductive was...wrong.
Interview with The Vampire. Pretty good, did Kristen Dunst somehow have the acting ability sucked out of her by a Kirby after this movie? She's actually...good.

Funny People. Not bad. I didn't think Adam Sandler could get that deep anymore judging by his more recent outings.

The Lost Boys. Watched it slightly inebriated after recommendations from both username and woodzy. Don't normally care for 80's films but this wasn't bad at all.

I saw An American Tail for the first time since '86. It doesn't really hold up. It has a very leisurely, meandering pace and none of the songs were that good (the only one I liked was when the kids were singing "Somewhere Out There"). And it came out after The Secret of NIMH, which was awesome. It feels like an early film where everyone was still learning the ropes, but it wasn't.

Seconded! American Tail is an animated Gangs of New York!

No, it's just an animated Once Upon A Time In America.
I saw Blade Runner for the first time last week on Netflix, amazing atmosphere and potential but the acting and execution was just a bit poor. It didn't flow very well. However, this was the theatrical version and I've always heard the Director's Cut is way better, so I may try to check that out next.

Did you know that it's about vampiric pederasty? Watch it with that in mind, the film is disturbing. Then consider what Corey Feldman recently said about Hollywood.

I just saw Star Trek III last night. Since that was the only one of the movies I have not seen it certainly helped me make sense of a few things from Star Trek IV. The ending was really lame and pissed me off, though.

Just saw Casino the other night. Also saw a late 50's classic called 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' a couple weeks ago.

Just saw Commando for the first time a few days ago. It was ok for what it was. Great atmosphere though, I don't think you could make a more 80s movie if you tried.

I'm watching the Alice in Wonderland movie from a couple years ago for the first time because there's nothing else on. They should call this shit Alice in Green Screenland.

I stopped watching Tim Burton movies when I realized that they are all the same damn movie.

I just saw Resident Evil: Afterlife last night. That movie was full of errors and other inconsistencies. It was very irritating, but thankfully, not very long.

Didn't that movie just come out on DVD like a year ago?

Yeah, I think so. I meant to watch it back then, but never got around to it. I happened to have a few hours to kill last night and it came on showtime or hbo when I was flipping through channels.

So I finally watched Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise and I have to say that barring a certain moment in the film this is an excellent anime film. Plus, anything involving stuff like a pioneering space program is always appealing to me.
I also marked off 2009's animated Wonder Woman piece (very good writing here in several parts like here with embedding disabled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i1tVAno3eo ) the recent Justice League: Doom and Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva from my To Watch list.

Finally got to see Inglorious Basterds. I loved it, it was like Pulp Fiction except the characters were actually relatable.

Glad to hear someone who really liked it. Most of my friends have mixed reactions about it, from boring to underwhelming.
