Spring is my absolute worst favorite season in terms of weather. I'm already starting to feel the searing burn of pollen in my eyes. |
If you can afford it/your health insurance plan covers it, go see an allergy specialist and have them run a test on the specific allergens that are affecting you, and then get a custom prescription. It will change your life.

This is what I finally did this year after having my worst seasonal allergies ever. In the past I had tried pretty much everything for my allergies and if something worked one year, it would never work again. Definitely see a specialist, Lesh is 100 percent correct, it will change your life.

Seven months into my new career as a high school teacher, and I just received the following email from a student:
Quote: |
I wanted to take some time to give a formal thank you. Thanks to you Mr. [redacted] I've actually enjoyed going to a computer programming class. Boy I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth. The years before I tried programming but the teacher I had really didnt help. Im not speaking bad about him but he really made an impact on how I saw programming and coding in general, as I grew to loath it and skip the class. But now I actually plan on continuing the path and hopefully become a video game programmer. it will be hard but thanks to the efforts and over all importance you put into teaching the class and working in a one on one lecture really motivated me and made me think about what I wrote and not just put random things. And thus I end this LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG letter. You may have changed my life forever and even if I am unable to purse programming for whatever reason this was an experience I wont forget. Keep up the great teaching.

Those are the moments that make the often painful profession of teaching worth doing.

At my school, seniors graduate a month before the end of the school year for everyone else. I only have two non-seniors in AP Computer Science. Class is now AP 90s Bands. Today's lesson: Spin Doctors - Pocketful of Kryptonite.

I didn't even know they had gotten back together after their lead singer got vocal nodes, but evidently the lead singer rejoined in 2001. I'm not really hip to the status of Spin Doctors, and evidently haven't been for a long time.

Sometimes I say things that are relevant to the current conversation. Not everything I say is self-serving oral masturbation.

Someone has to masturbate all over these forums since the owner doesn't show them any love.

Had one of our cats go missing a while ago, usually if they're gone more than 48 hours, they're dead. This one showed back up three weeks later, much thinner, but still healthy. She's our tiniest cat, too.

Oh man, I had Last Bronx and Fighting Vipers back in the day. And I pored over Dragon Force articles in EGM with great lust.

Yeah, Fighting Vipers is still fun. Took me a couple days to get used to the fighting system again.
Also, if anyone cares, the two best Japanese Amazon stores I've ordered from, so far are: Landport and Ichigo Ichie Japan. Both of them delivered really quickly, nicely packed, no damages.

I went to Best Buy today to buy, among other things, Kirby: Planet Robobot. Except they apparently forgot to actually scan it, so I got new video game for free. You can't get that with download-only services.

I'd be careful going back in there.

It was their mistake and I didn't even realize it until they were too late, so it's their loss.
And yes, I am proud of myself.

I got something for free too: My girlfriend found a smashed up DVD case of the movie Deadpool lying on the side of the road…with a completely intact disk.

Creating some new Game Genie codes with barely any knowledge of coding. I just happen to be good at recognizing patterns while looking at hex numbers in a game's ROM file.
