I've heard great things, but I haven't read it myself.

i don't know man. but it's a shame he has to spend the end of his days writing the book. well, i'm sure he enjoys it, but if i were dying i'd probably have other priorities.
that being said though, i hope he finishes it. i'm reading through the series again, and i'm anxious for an ending. and a sandwich.

Yeah, it sucks he is gonna die soon, and his masterpiece will never be as complete as he originally wanted it to be. But then again, who decides to write a 15 book series where all the books are ridiculously slow moving and have too much introspection?!
Anyhow, I did not like how his last book Knife of Dreams just seemed too abrupt for me. Every major plot point and loose end was tied up in a sloppy fashion imo. I also dont like how he will never finish his prequel trilogy New Spring or whatever it was called. That had some potential.

There's also a d20 system RPG with the license. Never played it or read the books though.
