I was lifting today, and overloaded my bar for doing bench presses, which is a BRIALLIANT thing to do when no one is around. I'm not even one of those frat guys who thinks the bench press is the be-all-end-all lift. It pales in comparison to behind neck presses for working triceps. And biceps and chest muscles? Why? Anyway, I put on another twenty pounds, and thought "Hm. This is a really bad idea", because a) I knew I couldn't push it, and b), I put the bar thirty pounds over it's 'maximum weight', but that's more of a suggestion. The bars are made to handle more than they say. So, I push it once, okay, it goes up, yay. I think "Hm, one rep max? MORE LIEK 2!", so I push it for a second rep, and was all "MOER LIEK TREEH!", and it didn't work, I couldn't even get it back up to the bench, so I had to bail it over the side, which put a lovely dent in the floor.

Moral; Don't try to figure out your one-rep max when no one else is around, and don't try to push weight that's like 2% below your one rep max three times.

No.

It's relatively random, but I've been playing Shadowrun lately (the 360 one, not the original, even though that was a good game as well), and I've been enjoying it. I enjoy being a supporting player whenever I can, and this game is good for it. It sucks that there isn't any single player aside from training and bot matches, though.
