It does in the case of hip hop. But whatever. Since you refuse to acknowledge that point, much less listen to any of hip hops most relevant music today, I think we're done here. We're just going to go in circles otherwise.

Improving on a formula is the way to the highest art now. The last real innovation in the artform was electronic music.

You know nothing about modern music. But to each his own.

Every point in history (at least since about 1920, when recorded music started to get widely proliferated) there has always been diverse, interesting music anywhere you chose to look for it. This point in time is no exception, and there's at least one brilliant album that drops just about every couple of weeks.
Don't like music today? Start listening to more of it or shut up. Because good stuff is everywhere if you're willing to explore a little, and if you aren't, then you have no right to complain. "All music sucks today" is an argument that is as wrong as it is lazy.

You should make a timeline detailing rap's history for this thread.

Why bother? You'd just say any of the acts worth listening to in the last 15 years were "small time" and dismiss them out of hand. I'm not going to put in that much work just to give you a chance to be smug.

Strange Music is worth checking out if you like rap, they've got all sorts of nifty rappers like Tech N9ne and Brotha Lynch Hung and Ces Cru and Rittz and um, that one guy with the crazy hair I can never remember his name...

After the Golden Era basically wich is 90's to 2000. I don't often listen to Hip Hop but if i do than it has to be one of the good Dr.Dre, Snoop Dogg or Eminem albums from back than.

Fighter, I have so much respect for you now due to this thread alone.
Vert, you come off as a whiny, pretentious nostalgia fag who always bitches about how the past was so amazing and everything nowadays is horrible and an example of the downfall of mankind in this thread. You also contradict yourself several times.
