I wonder why we haven't heard stories of him begging this time. Is he really satisfied with just one appearance of his character in a Nintendo game? He pulled it again with Raiden in Playstation All-Stars, so I would think he's not through with that gimmick yet.

This is exactly what happened. He had originally requested a place for Snake in Melee, but the game was too close to completion when he asked, so when it came time for Brawl they planned to include Snake from the start.

It's a lot easier to keep him in than it is to get him there in the first place. I expect Snake to be back, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't.

So, any ideas on who they could add as new characters?

Thinking back to Kid Icarus: Uprising, I could see Magnus showing up (possibly as a replacement to Ike as a heavy hitting slow guy) or maybe even Phosphora.
And with the new Fire Emblem, I can see them using either Chrom or Lucina (she's the #1 character in popularity polls of Awakening).

I'm hoping they drop the Starfox representation to just Fox, or maybe add Krystal and give her a noticeably different moveset from the other members.

I would love to see some characters from Super Mario RPG in a Smash Bros. game. Jinx, Smithy, Geno and Mallow come to mind.

Fuck off. Wolf was a great choice. It was just lame that he was a clone character.

It was a dumb game and a dumb character. And her inclusion in later Star Fox games as a pilot was pretty nonsensical.

I'm sure this character is obscure as hell and will probably never be in a Smash Bros. game, but we need Mike from Battle Clash in this.

I'd like to see them try the Street Fighter III approach and overload on new characters that people will have a hard time accepting at first.

Also, I'm fairly certain Lucas won't make it back. If he does, it would be a huge insult to the Mother 3 fans.

So the latest on these games is the option of a possible customization for characters and that there won't be a story mode, allegedly because Sakurai was mad that people uploaded the cutscenes of Subspace Emissary to youtube.

Also, it bugs me to no end when people pronounce Bros as it's written, instead of shorthand for Brothers.

eh, i never cared about story mode. i dont think i even finished the subspace emissary to be honest.

i just hope they keep the challenges, as those were fun. and i do hope they bring back the silly bonuses they gave at the end of smash bros melee.

also, i dont think i ever heard anyone call it bros, instead of brothers. thats just weird.
