Who is this Regal Sin guy. It seems I missed a lot by not being in here sooner, I don't really feel like reading all his posts, so can I just have a synopsis. Maybe even a funny story?

RegalSin was a moron. He had much flawed logic and pretty got on everyone's nerves. It was amusing, yes, but on another level, it would really grind your gears. He was a poor excuse for a Japanophile and seemed to have a very basic way of thinking about things, or rather, basically incorrect. I was MIA for most of his tenure, so I'm sure someone'll step up and provide a better explanation and some prime examples.

My theory is that Regalsin is afraid of girl-cooties. In the rare ocasion I actually posted a thread he never replied to them. This pleased me.

But in all seriousness, Regal was a complete tool. Half of his posts were so incoherent on so many levels (grammar, spelling, logic) that the whole thread would be lost. Most of his posts deteriorated into racist and pedophilia-inspired rants that nearly ruined the forum.

He was also responsible for the best exchange to ever take place in this space, and it is located in my signature. I also took on the occupation of "Forum Goon" because I made it my mission to get him booted. Now he's gone, and all is less wrong with the world.

RegalSin was banned on June 28. The bickering didn't really start until October 16. That's almost four full months of peace. If William Golding has taught us anything, it's that people devolve much quicker than that. Doody-head.

Sticking to your guns in light of contradictory evidence isn't a sign of manliness, its a sign of undeveloped reaoning abilities.

Maybe its the "stick to your guns" cowboy diplomacy is the cause of conflict. I mean, you cant very well run about calling people annoying twats and fucking assholes without expecting a bit of a tussle.

Why yes there is. Unfortunately, when we moderate people's posts for violations of forum rules, those people start to cry. It's rather a sad state of affairs.
