A beyond-awesome 66-year-old man saved his grandson from the stranglehold of a 16-foot-long, 77-lb. anaconda by beating the giant snake with rocks and a knife for half an hour!
"When I saw the snake wrapped around my grandson's neck I thought it was going to kill him,"
Joaquim Pereira was hiking in Brazil when his 8-year-old grandson, Mateus, was attacked by the anaconda while walking near a creek on his grandfather's ranch in the city near Sao Paulo.
While the boy was playing with friends, the snake attacked and wrapped itself around him. His friends ran to get his grandfather, who reached the scene and beat the snake so bad it let go of his grandson.

Man I love Grandpas. My mom's dad owned the last comic shop this shit town has ever seen, and I have a photo of him as Wolverine for Halloween. Unfortunately, he commited suicide when I was three...my dad's dad is freaking wicked, he used to be a total greaser, we got a pic of him standing in front of an old hot rod, white t-shirt(with cigarette pack in the sleeve), black jeans, smoke hanging out of his mouth, and this wicked badass scowl on his face. Yea, I remember looking through my strategy guide for FFVII and seeing "Bestiary" and thinking, "shouldn't it be 'beastiary'?" I checked the dictionary and bam, learned. It's very easily confused since the root is "beast".
