Beach Bum takes the early lead and is the only one left in the running for the perfect score. Everyone scored at least 20 points, and aside from Ghandi (who lost his super-bowl pick), nobody's bracket was really hurt. Divisional Round is where these things really start picking up steam, so nobody's out of it yet...

Yeah I thought it would be too much pressure for any of them to do well. Actually surprised Wilson did as well as he did for Seattle, only took them because their defense is far better than Washington's.

Well, RGIII getting hurt mid-game didn't help. 'Skins were up 14-0 at one point.

I was actually kind of surprised he played and risked further injuring his knee, which actually ended up happening. Knee surgery for a run first QB won't be a good thing for him going into next year.

I guess you gotta play no matter what in the playoffs but damn that was stupid of him, risking his career over one game in his rookie year. I mean it isn't like they really have anybody to beat in their division anyway, I'm sure they'll be back next year unless RGIII turns into another Cam Newton and slumps completely after all his overhype this year and this knee injury.

Yeah this bugs the hell out of me. Why are we letting the overenthusiastic rookie make the decision on whether or not he wants to play here? Of course he wants to play. They all do. His ego is going to get in the way of any sort of honest decision, It's the coach's job to step in and tell him, "Kid, you ain't playing", not the player's. Shanahan should have known better, and if RG3's career is in the crapper now, it's entirely on him.

I agree. You expect a player to say he's fine to play. I blame Shanahan. Anyone with eyes could see RGIII was struggling. Their backup had performed just fine when he missed games, so he should have been brought in to either maintain the lead, or at least attempt a scoring drive in the 4th.

Unrelated--Satsui, would it be possible to put everyone's Super Bowl picks next to their names in the standings? It will help us gauge who's in good shape, and it's kind of annoying to scroll through the entire list.

RG3 needs knee surgery, out 6-8 months.

Cast the blame as you will.

Guess a Denver loss fucked up a lot more people worse than it did me.

It's my fault. Every team I root for loses. I literally picked every single CFL playoff game wrong.

Go Patriots! Very Happy

So I'm not good at picking this stuff.

Only got 50 point last week at my NFL.com fantasy team too...

I think I'll stick to blackjack and Texas Hold 'em

Also, I'll be here next year Wink

Yep Manning did his best Brett Favre impression and threw a game ending interception. I am impressed with Baltimore though, that was a well played game against one of the best QBs in the league. Unfortunately they may have to repeat the performance next week unless Houston somehow manages a major upset too.

Updated. Sidewaydriver and BeachBum share first place, Bum has more live picks, but Sideway's Super Bowl pick is still alive. There's a few other people in good shape, but Denver losing shredded the fuck out of half the brackets. Lavalarva's on pace for the 2 bucks for last place, but Ghandi can score it too if things fall right. Very Happy

What I just can't wrap my head around is why Denver would let the game go into overtime when they still had two timeouts and half a minute to get a field goal.

Denver got fucked over multiple times by the refs, but they can't really blame it on anybody because they rolled over with 30 seconds left and took a knee.

"The refs cost us the game" is always a bullshit excuse. Always.

For every bad call a ref makes, there's dozens if not hundreds of screw-ups a team makes that work against it that could have made that referee's call completely moot.

That's an OK play IMO, they didn't really have a great field position.

I blame the decision of running the ball on almost every goddamn 3rd-and-short, even though it almost always failed miserably, and they have Peyton Manning as a QB (doesn't matter that he didn't do that well).

Also, the coverage on that last minute bomb by Flacco was just unbelievably bad.

Updated. Some notes
-Sidewaydriver is in the lead with 80 and still has his super bowl pick alive. Username, Sarge, and I can catch him and pass him with a San Francisco win. I'm also the only one left with a team in the AFC game, if New England wins I'm the guy to beat.
-Lavalarva's locked up last place. Tell me where to send the 2 bucks.
-If anyone wants to go through the scenarios of what team needs to win for someone to win this, feel free. Not up to it right now.

Seriously, what the fuck? I thought they would have learned their lesson last week when they blew that lead. That second turn over was the end of that.
