Well, the season doesn't start for another week, but I figured I would just go ahead and make an obligatory thread now.
Anyways, I am pretty excited to see where the show is headed after the events of last season.
What do you think Matt and Trey will go after first? Or do you think it will be a more traditional style South Park adventure where the boys get entangled in some over the top shit?

I'm almost positive they're going to touch on the whole kerfuffle in the Middle East. Otherwise, who knows? Something topical, most likely.

Yea, the first episodes tend to be topical since there have been so many issues building up since the end of the last season.

I'm sure they'll go after the Republican Primary. Guys like Gingrinch, Santorum, and dropouts Perry and Cain have it coming.

There haven't been a lot of topical episodes as of late, so I'm hoping for a lot of them this season. That's when I like the show best.

If the urban dictionary's right, they're going to have a field day with Santorum, that's a given.

Book of Mormon ft Mitt Romney : South Park edition
That'd be like a hybrd of other already done episodes like Turd Sandwich vs. Douche. I don't see them doing that, but who knows.
I really loved 'So, your getting older'. I hope they do episodes more like that and explore their own genre and play with our expectations a little more.

Yeah, I don't see them doing an entire episode around the Republican candidates when they've already got the Turd Sandwich/Douche episode, and using something so unoriginal and over-used like the Santorum joke doesn't seem like their style.
Is "So you're getting older" the dubstep episode? That one was fucking hilarious.

It was the two part ep that broke up the mid season break - and yes the music sounded like shit. I just liked how the first half ended and it felt like the show was going to go in this whole new direction - and then when they didn't I peed my pants. Probably my favorite so far.

Yea, there will certainly be elements of the recent Republican Primaries in the season opener.
If they aren't the focal point, they will at least be nodded to.

Overall I thought it was pretty hilarious.
Those TSA women were great, and Randy getting the ticket while shitting was priceless.

Yeah Randy getting a ticket was the high point.
"Asshole"
"What did you say?"
"Oh, I was talking to my asshole"
I love it when they really involve the secondary characters, like Clyde here. Craig in "The Startling" was awesome too.

Fixed.
So, anyone going to adopt the "proper" method of toilet usage?

Butters piping up about that in class got the longest, loudest laugh of the entire night for me. It's just so damn BUTTERS. And the payoff there at the end was a very nice touch.

Agreed. His explanation of the little shelf was awesome.

I paused it, walked to my bathroom, looked at the toilet for a moment, and thought, "Wow...that really does make sense". God, I love that kid.
Other than picking on the TSA (not because I worked for them, and honestly the parody was spot on, but because it's just SO 5 years ago), I thought it was excellent. They finally weigh in on the Eternal Toilet Seat Debate. It's historic.
