I had a cheap recumbent exercise bike that I wore out awhile ago, and now that it is winter again it's too cold and rainy for normal bike riding. So I was looking online for a new one to buy and even the cheap ones seemed to all be "magnetic resistance" based.

The question I have, if anyone knows, is: will they screw with any nearby electronics (tv, video games, computer), especially with the resistance turned up?

I honestly don't know how large a magnetic field is created by these things, and the sales people aren't going to say anything that will hurt their commission. Confused

I've never heard of this happening. I've never had my Ipod short out while riding on a bike. And I've seen gyms that have small LCD TV's mounted on all their cardio equipment, and they don't seem to have any issues.
