John Taylor recently beat the world record for fastest guitarist. The song requested was Flight Of The Bumblebee. He succeeded at an amazing speed of 600 BPM. Because of how fast it is, it sounds like shit, but it's still amazing he can play that fast.
He plays that long guitar so that he can play a song in way that it doesn't sound like a song anymore. My mind is blown.
it was the best of times
it was the blurst of times

Well, there's this guy on the fastest guitarist page on RecordSetter.com claiming he once played at 800 BPM and that he's going to try it again. However, this was 9 days ago. I hope it happens, though.
Thats nothing, I heard that there was this band called Crash and the Boys who played a set in six seconds.

He should have done it without distortion.

The distortion ruins it for me, I would want to hear it played cleanly

Plus by it's nature distortion carries longer than a clean note so it's easier to mask fuck ups, not ragging on the dudes skills because he's obviously fast, but clean or even on an acoustic would have been doubly as impressive.

Weird. It sounds inconsistent tempo-wise. I think the way they set up the metronome is throwing me off.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I wasn't impressed, I see stuff like that on a daily basis.
On a side note, I lol'd at the guy who, at around 5:56, started screaming,
" YEEEEAAAAHHH!!!!!"
The problem with quotes from the internet is that too many people believe them to be true.
