I'm anime-illiterate, as I have seen only a handful of anime movies, and not a single series. Anyone who knows anything about anime is aware of Death Note, but I just finished watching it for the first time. I loved it. Every episode was fascinating to me. If you haven't seen it, watch a couple of episodes and see if you want to watch the entire run.

Which intro did you like better? The whiney first one or the growly second one?

Both made me crack up. I only watched each one once and would skip them on subsequent viewings. I guess I preferred the Japanese death metal one a little bit more because it just sounded hilarious.

So it's actually worth watching? It looks retarded.

I watched The Good, The Bad, The Weird not too long ago. It's one of those movies where different groups are trying to chase down the same thing--in this case it's a map to some ancient treasure.. It's a pretty good flick. It has a Quentin Tarantino feel to it but subtract the ten minute conversations. It's primarily an action movie, but there were a couple of parts where I legit laughed out loud. It's worth your time.

Comic book the movie is on instant now. Worth watching for the live action acting of famous voice actors Jess Harnell (Yakko), Lori Alan (Pearl on spongebob), Daran Norris ( Cosmo and Timmy's dad), Tom kenny (spongebob), and Billy West (really?)

I watched a brilliant movie recently called Lo. I highly reccommend it. It is indie horror/dark comedy. Very theatrical. Almost as if you are watching a play being acted out and of course, it's really fuckin' funny...if dark humor is your kind of thing. Go forth and watch it immediately.

Eyes of the Mothman. An interesting documentary that really dives into the history of the town Point Pleasant, WV and all the crazy shit that has been happening there. It's definitely an interesting watch.

Watched this tonight and I really liked it. The effects are good enough that it looks pretty real in the dim lighting and night vision you see most of the actual trolls in. One of my favorite aspects is how the movie gives scientific explanations for (most) of the myths surrounding trolls and treats them like they are just another type of animal. It was all very interesting and at points, extremely creepy (when they get trapped by cave trolls? ::shudder:Smile I would totally recommend it.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil. I had never heard of it and a friend suggested it. I was cracking up several times. Look it up.

I've also already mentioned this to some others, but 13 Assassins is a great samurai film that was released in 2010. The villain is pure evil, and the final battle sequence is great.

Okay, better watch The Stupids quick as you can, because come February 29, it'll be gone.

I would also recommend MirageMan, District B13 (which I prefer to call by its original title, Banlieue 13 ), and Rubber.

I'm not sure if Iron Monkey is still on streaming, but it's definitely worth a watch if you like martial arts films.

It's an anime, but Dead Leaves. Trippy as hell. The best way of summarizing it would be a 50 minute episode of Superjail focusing on two prisoners. and produced by Gainax. For the unfamiliar, Gainax is the animation studio behind Evangelion, FLCL, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Magical Shopping Arcade Abinobashi, Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann and a lot of other stuff.

actually, those were in the selection.

they had In Bruges, Hellboy II, 40 year old virgin... and those are just the ones i remember off the top of my head. they had a wider selection of movies that i wanted to watch.
