It's been about two weeks since my last prodding, so before I start I'd like to thank those of you who got games in since then. Still a little ways to go so let's try to wrap it up as soon as possible. Thanks.

Only six games have been played in the last two weeks...so we still have 21 remaining. Again, if you have 20 minutes and you see someone you need to play while in the IRC, don't be shy; ask for the game. If you're not sure who you still need to play, just remember you have to play everyone twice and everyone you have already played is listed in the standings.

I had not heard that he was quitting. I had asked in the original post for people to follow through with all their games if they were going to join, so I hope he reconsiders. He still has a shot at the tourney, and even if he didn't, it's still fun to play the game. Besides, most of his games are against the people that are high in the standings...if he does average the rest of the way he could still make the top 8.

If he doesn't complete his games I'm not quite sure what I'll do now as that does make the schedules unfair. We'll see.

Double post, but that's because I want to make sure people see this.

I'm considering adding a Consolation Tourney for the four people who miss the main tournament. That would give people who started out slow record-wise something extra to play for if they would like.

I figured it might be a good idea because the main purpose of this competition was to learn or play the game for fun. This would also give a shot at redemption for the people who fell just short of the top eight.

Can I get some feedback on this idea?

I've heard the good news from Fern that Chaotic Ignorance is /not/ quitting the competition and will complete the rest of his games. Hurray!

That said, we're to the point where people need to start PMming each other to schedule times for you to get a game or two played. Please do me a big favor and contact any opponents you haven't played yet and let's try to get these games in over the next week. I think we're all anxious to get the tournament started.

Also, I will be doing Consolation bracket for the four teams who miss the tournament. It'll be single elimination, with the Final being a Best of 3 match.

Another week, and only three games were played. However, Vald was in all three of them so he is no longer lagging behind. Thanks for playing all of those games.
