Has anyone watched this? Is it worth all the fuss and controversy? Its a U.S. remake of a show in Britain that has been on a few years.

It's not worth it. The original series wasn't even that good, and this one is a more poorly acted version of it.

When I first heard about "Skins," all I heard was the title. So I thought, "awesome!"
Then I saw the synopsis and I thought "oh... not what I was expecting at all."
Still haven't seen it.

I tried watching it, to see what the media frenzy is about. Dear God, this show is fucking awful. The acting, the writing, everything. The parents seem to be inspired by the parents from the Peanuts cartoons.
The main character, Tony, who's apparently supposed to be "cool", I don't know who he blew to get that part, but he's got no acting skill, no charisma, and he looks like he fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Fuck this show. I hope it gets cancelled. But mostly, I hope Tony dies. And not really the character, so much as the actor who plays him.

How do you figure? The first thing that pops in my head when I hear the word skins isn't exactly Natives. Scalps, maybe.

Apparently viewership dropped 50% between the pilot and the second episode. Looks like Skins will soon be cancelled.
