Apparently, O.J. wrote a book that eventually goes into a hypothesis about how he would have committed the murders if he had done them. I don't have much more info at this time, but according to Amazon.com, the book was scheduled to come out the 30th, but it was cancelled by the publisher ten days before.

When I get the money, I want to look for that book. If anyone has anymore knowledge/comments about this, please add. I find this topic very interesting.

RIP Hacker.

Hey Rycona...

It was suppose to be released by Fox I think, it wasn't even written by O.J., someone else pitched the idea, and put his name on it... they cancelled it because of bad publicity and the threat of a lawsuit by the Goldman family (Nicole Simpson's "friend" who also got murdered). They said it would be wrong for him to benefit from the deaths...

It was claimed that O.J. was given a $1 million dollar advance for the book, and he's spent it all... because the Goldman family won a "wrongful death" lawsuit and get to have every penny he makes...

Hope that helps.

Judith Regan was fired last week because of that and some anti-Semitic remarks. She suing for wrongful termination or something.

I guess that's what Harper Collins gets for stating a year and a half ago they were going to release Reagan's presidential diary, but having nothing come of it so far. That coupled with the collection of letters he wrote over his lifetime that came out a couple of years ago is an historian's wet dream.

I have to different Reagan books of letters he wrote... one is called In His Own Hand and I think that one came out first. I forget what the other one is called and I'm too lazy to look. And then shortly after the second book came out, someone found some angry letters he had written about Nixon or something like that.

The one I'm talking about is entitled "A Life in Letters". I noticed "In His Own Hand" a few months ago and that it came out earlier. I'll buy it eventually, but not anytime soon since it seems to be a collection of transcripts from his radio show in the late 70s. I'll probably get it by summertime after I finished my damn MA Essay on Silvio Berlusconi.

I'll say the alternate ending to "The Game" and "Address Unknown" from "Max Payne 2" as the line was featured in both.

No, they ceased production of the SMS in 1998.

The Sega Master System is still being produced in Brazil. The latest version is the "Master System III Collection". It uses the same design as the North American Master System II (Master System III in Brazil), but is white and comes in three versions: one with 74 games built-in, other with 105 games built-in and another with 112 games built-in on an internal ROM. However, in Brazil it is hard to find the 3D Glasses, the Light Phaser and even cartridges, leaving most Brazilians with only built-in games.

Overall, the SMS was mildly successful worldwide, but failed to capture the Japanese and North American markets. Sega learned from its mistakes and made the succeeding Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis wildly popular in Europe, Brazil, and North America.

The Sega Master System was rereleased in a smaller handheld form factor in late 2006. This small handheld device was powered by 3 AAA batteries, had a brighter active matrix screen, and contained 20 Game Gear and Sega Master System games. It was released under several brands including Coleco and PlayPal. More details about this device are available here [2].

The thing about those new Sega Master System machines is that all their games are built-in, which makes them about as much a real SMS as the Atari Flashback is a real Atari 2600.

the original sega master system had built in games as well.

these new brazillian ones still have cart slots and stuff too, unlike the awesome hot useless atari flashbacks.

Knyte, what do you mean Nintendo should drop out of the console market? Quit being a Nintendumbass.

Well, they have in all honestly gone downhill in recent years. The NES was THE 8 Bit system, and the late-to-the-party SNES quickly caught up to the Genesis and brought the 16 bit era to a close tie. The Gameboy and its siblings are untouchable in the portible market. (Not even competitors with more power and better screens could dent the GB clan.)

After that, things kinda fell apart. Most people can only name maybe 5 great games for the N64. If it wasn't for Zelda, Mario, and Resident Evil, the Gamecube would have been all but ignored.

And, now, Nintendo is no longer a big player in the "Mainstream" Videogame Industry. With the Wii, Nintendo has decided not to compete with the current big boys, but instead try to carve out a niche market of their own. A Wii is a fun toy. But, if you truly think about it, that is all that it is.

Is it pushing the state of the art, in attempt to give you games that take your breath away? Is it pushing the limits of AI to challenge you further than ever? Is every major publisher banging down Nintendo's door for a piece of the action?

Nintendo is no longer the "Video Game" giant we all once loved. Now it is a toy/gizmo maker, who may just happen to have the next "ipod" in their hands.

And, Char, quit being a Nintendick.

Wait, hang on, you're criticizing a thing that plays games for being a fun toy?

Yes and No.

I am comparing the Wii to the iPod, in that it is geared towards simplicity for the sake of mass apeal, not for the sake of video gaming, itself. Just like the iPod is not nessicarily the best MP3 player out there, but it is easy to use, and has great market appeal.

What I am saying is that Nintendo is no longer in the same race it was ten years ago. The SNES competed directly against the Genesis and the TG-16/PC Engine. The N64 competed directly against the PSX and Saturn. The Gamecube competed directly against the Xbox and PS2. The Wii is not DIRECTLY competing against the X360 or the PS3. Basically, Nintendo has given up the "arms race" and decided to be a unique console maker, rather than the industry leader they used to be.

The Wii has more in common with this:

Than This:

EDIT:

After giving some more thought, here is another way to look at my point:

Video Game consoles have always been like exotic sports cars. A gamer, in this case a car buyer, is going to want to buy either a Ferrari Enzo (X360) or a Lamborghini Murciélago(PS3). They are both fast, sleek, and the cream of the crop. And, unless the buyer is really rich, they are only going to buy one or the other, as they both do the same thing, and it comes down to a matter of taste. After they buy their exotic sportcar, they will go out and buy a minivan (Wii) for the wife and kids.

Nintendo used to be the Porsche Carrera GT, now they are a Ford Aerostar.
