I mean, sure, they were in need of a new commercial for 16 years, and if Hasbro wants to put one of its animal-based games in the center of something, that's their business, but was it not bad enough that they lumped in Gator Golf, which debuted four years before Elefun? Now they're lumping in a decades-old classic? Why can't they just only include games that came out after Elefun, like Giraffe-a-laff Limbo and Pop Goes Frog?
Yes, I'm aware that all those games are targeted at younger children, but still.

it's just marketing. Elefun is more popular, so by lumping the other games in under the elefun name, they hope to use it to boost sales of the less popular products.

Yeah, I noticed that too and wondered the same thing. It's kind a shame that when I was a kid, hungry hungry hippos was the king of kid's games, but now it's playing second banana to a stupid elephant.

Gator Golf too. When I worked at Toys R Us, there was a whole section in the games aisles just for that grouping of semi-related games.

Yeah, I hate children today almost as much as I hate their parents. What's better than slamming your meaty little flippers against a hard plastic paddle in a furious, racket-inducing shower of little white marbles? I used to play it so hard I'd bruise myself, but my hippo was hungry.

Unless I'm mistaken you put a bunch of these "Butterfly" looking things into the animal. You turn it on and it blows the butterflies out the trunk and you need to catch them.
Hungry Hippos was given to me as an only child. My parents never played with me, so A. I had tournaments between my hands and feet at the same time. and B. My parents were assholes.
Who the fucks gives an only child boardgames for more than 2 people for christmas.
On a side note I got my dad a mini version of HHH. It's going to be awesome.
