The rule was you couldn't use any privileges your opponent didn't also have to campaign. So if you were a mod, you couldn't use mod powers against your opponent and so on. It was largely irrelevant and lead to an incident last year, so I dropped it.

Even though Syd is using a power that nobody else can to campaign, I say let him continue. It is evidence of the tyranny we all have to deal with--he can force us to be 'branded' with whatever he wants. Now more people will become aware of what we in the IRC have seen all along. How long before he has you saying "I'll suck dick for votes" or "Superman64 Fanboy" under your avatar?
The fact that he will be actively using powers that nobody else can to uneven the playing field is proof that he is not a suitable Forum Champion.
And it's not like we can do anything about it. The least we can do is vote against him in the Forum Battle and crush a huge dream of his. Vote IRC Revolution if you're against forced brandings.
