It's not. I have a fifth cereal (no, it's not Nintendo) that I accidentally won with a low bid and I will review that one at a later date with video. I know exactly what I want to do, but:
A) I need a better camera
B) I need better lighting
C) I need someone to score it.
D) I know nothing about film-making and I have some ambitious ideas, including a brief stopmotion animation segment.
Until I can realize my vision 100% the way I've imagined it, it's not happening. And unfortunately, that could be multiple years away.

Well video reviews have come a long way since the days of Douchebag Sitting In Front Of A Webcam In A Single Take. If I can't match the production values of things like That Guy With Glasses and Deja View, why even bother?
People think I write well, and I appreciate that. But if you love my writing because it's above average, why would you want to see me do a mediocre video? Right now, the most likely scenario involving me and videos is this:
1) I suddenly decide to abandon my friends and family and move to Illinois
2) I make DarkMaze help me to do videos
This plan has several flaws, not the least of which is that DarkMaze is a very busy man.

Understandable, but I think you can't give up before you try. Seeing as a lot of us lurked around here before we joined the board, we have a good idea what your articles are about and can give you pointers on what you need to do with your video reviews. You could easily do a mediocre review and work your way up. Hell, AVGN, TGWTG and such weren't exactly the best with their first videos.
