The Free Land of Spiritopia is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.853 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Education, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Uncle Touchy's Puzzle Basement. The average income tax rate is 81%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government is notorious for leaving citizens with almost nothing from their inheritance, the government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one, Mr Happy's Funland has just been named Spiritopia's new capital, and criminals are thrown to the moocows to repay their debt to society. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Spiritopia's national animal is the moocow, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the ramen packet.



My country always seems to suffer from really high taxes and crime, which I always found kind of odd given the weird-ass questions they throw at you that seem to indicate affecting nothing in particular.
