http://www.serebii.net/generation5/

As seen in the link above, you can likely expect a 5th generation game coming out next year.

I was just wondering about that today. I wonder what the new pokemon will be like this time...

Why is it that the newly drawn Pokemon have looked crappy since Series 1? Everything just looks so simplified after the 1st. Personally I think the series peaked with Gold and Silver and didn't like anything after that.

Just give us the remake of Gold/Silver and call it a day.

It's damn near 500. At least 150 was somewhat approachable to catch them all, this is just silly.

Plus it was easier to memorize all 150. That was part of the fun but who's going to try and memorize over 500 Pokemons? It's ridiculous now.

I'd like to see Weird Al do a new 'Polka-mon" with all the current Pokemon. It'd be a 10 minute song at least.

If they just made this it's own separate world I think it would seem a lot more plausible to catch all of the pokemon. I'll more-then-likely buy the game whenever it comes out regardless though.

That's funny you say it, considering the same guy did every design for the first two generations of games.

Also, each game starts out in its own region, though not having played G/S/C I know it was unique for those games that you actually went back to the Kanto region in addition to having its own region (Johto). Furthermore, the Orre region in Pokemon XD and Colliseum were based off the SW United States.

If they did go with a new country for its basis (Kanto, Kohto, Sinnoh, and Hoenn are the current 4 regions--each inspired by a similar named region of Japan) I wouldn't mind them handling South America.

I meant the actual Pokemon monsters look so simple, they all have dot eyes and look like they were drawn by a 5 year old. The first generation had a lot of articulate looking characters. Now everything looks to be a step off Ditto.

I'd rather they remake Blue and Red with elements of Gold and Silver, such as having 2 leagues and the breeding system, as well as having the Storage Box glitch.

Didn't they already remake red and blue?

Haha exactly, Red/Blue are definitive in my book.

I believe they may have had a remake on the GBA, but I want a serious, epic remake of it (at least something as done up as Heart Gold..).

FireRed and LeafGreen, each came with the GBA wireless connector thingie. Furthermore, you could transfer your pokemon from them as well as Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum via Slot 2 on the DS.

I doubt that's going to happen since HG/SS is coming out in roughly a month and now we've got G5 material. I have to admit the designs for Zoroa and Zoroark are pretty good, plus zoro means 'fox" in Spanish.

They remade Red and Green for the GBA, but no Blue or Yellow. I want a Pokemon game where the battles are all 3D, but everything else is 2D.

Pokemon Battle Revolution is sort of like that--as are all the other Stadium/Colliseum games. Granted, it's nothing but menus and battling (no walking around any where).

I honestly don't see how difficult it would be to make a 3D Pokemon game, where you literally are attacked by Pokemon rather than having the screen flash followed by fight sequence. They could make such an awesome game in that sense.

But like almost every other Nintendo property nowadays, it remains exclusive to the DS like Kirby, Star Fox, etc etc.

I know. I want Stadium-esque battles with PDP-esque walking. I've been wanting that since the GB player in PKMN Stadium 2.

I like random battles, they can keep them. I just want a Pokemon RPG/adventure that is in 3D, that is all.

Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness or its precursor, both on the GameCube.

If they don't have some degree of 3d in the battles reviewers are going to take them apart. I liked 4th gen quite a bit apart from that
