So, out of boredom at work, I came up with this insanely complex card combo that will let you instant win any magic game against any number of players:

You need in play:

Experiment Kraj
Mycosynth Lattice
Jace Beleren
Dragon Blood

And, in your hand:

Battlegrowth
Karn's Touch

(Or instead of Karn's Touch in hand, you could have a Xenic Poltergeist in play.)

Once all 6 of these are in posistion, you win the game, via:

Mycosynth Lattice makes every card an artifact in addition to it's other types.
Play either Karn's Touch or the activated ability of Xenic Poltergeist on Jace, which turns him into a 3/3 Artifact Planeswalker Creature.
Play Battlegrowth on Jace to give him a +1/+1 counter.
Now, Experiment Kraj can use the activated abilities of Jace, however since Kraj is not a planeswalker, he is not restricted by the one ability per turn rule.
So, you can then make everyone draw cards to add 2 loyalty counters each time on Kraj. Once you have enough, use the -10 ability and make each opponent Mill 20 cards, until they have no more libraries. Then use the +2 = everyone draws one more time.

WIN!

Anybody else ever come up with retarded combos such as this, that would work, but be insane to actually play?

Doesn't work anymore. The restriction on Planeswalker abilities has changed. Now each permanent can only use a Planeswalker ability once per turn regardless of what card type it is.

Indeed, when did they change that? That's actually news to me. Also, Battlegrowth/Dragons Blood is unncessary, Knyte. Kraj can tap to put a counter on something.

Elf decks.

Indestructible creature + Wrath + Biorhythm. Or, any sort of mana engine and Biorhythm. Or Biorhythm in any sort of melee deck.

We had that happen in a multiplayer game recently. The turn before someone drew a bounce spell for the angel, the guy dropped a SECOND Platinum Angel. Pain in the ass.

Imperious Perfect + Llanowar Elves + Intruder Alarm

My group hates this combo of mine, and I never play the deck much anymore because it feels cheap to play.

Another fun one:
1 Mountain => 4 Rite of Flames => Dragonstorm => 4 Bogardan Hellkites = Instatnt Kill on one player and you get 4 5/5 Flyers in one punch.

Well I would've had ways to deal with it, but sadly I actually wasn't in the game. They started one before I got out of work, and that's what was going on when I showed up, lol

I quit playing Magic 10 years ago because of one infuriating combo.

Icy Manipulator + Royal Assassin. Back then, it was unbeatable and only relied on 2 cards so was easy to get out.

Unbeatable? That combo existed since alpha. Cards that also existed since alpha: Shatter, Disenchant, Lightning Bolt, Swords to Plowshares, Instill Energy, Fireball, Disintegrate, Earthquake, Weakness, Drain Life, Counterspell...

Maze of Ith, Argothian Elder, Mountain, Searing Touch.

1. Attack with Argothian Elder.
2. Tap your mountain for mana.
3. Untap the Elder with Maze of Ith.
4. Tap the Elder to untap Mountain and Maze of Ith.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 until you have infinite mana.
6. Searing Touch everyone to death.

"But doesn't Maze of Ith remove the creature from combat?"

No. The official Oracle text is: Untap target attacking creature. Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to and dealt by that creature this turn.

You can also thrown in City of Solitude for good measure.

Just...fuck you.

My personal fave (which I built an interesting deck around) is Shields of Velis Vel + Spirit Mirror. Figure it out.

I just built a new one that consistes of Purity, Sanguine Bond, Pestilence, Eldrazi Monument, and lots of cheap fodder.

So, you don't have to look it up:

Purity turns any non-combat damage directed at me into life. Sanguine Bond damages opponent for each point of life I get. Pestilence does 1 damage to every creature and player for each Black mana I pump into it. Eldrazi makes all my creatures indestructable.

So every time I pump into Pestilence, it hurts my opponets and their creatures. My creatures shrug it off, I gain life, and deal more damage to another player. Quite fun.

I love Tamanoa and Manabarbs. Whenever your opponent taps a land, he loses one life and you gain one. Multiples of either makes it that much more fun.

Splinter + Myr Landshaper against basic lands. After it exiles the land, you only have to care if the other cards share a name with what you exiled.
