You know, after a year, making a new thread is probably appropriate. Particularly when the title of this one is "Phillies Win World Series"

i agree. but i was upset.

feel free to make a new baseball thread, but baseball is almost over now, so i dont think its necessary. especially if this thread title is prophetic

It's not over yet, they still have a chance. I don't think it really matters who comes out of the National League though.

Fucking douchebag yankees. Manny can also suck my tit, but I'm a skinny fan of those young, strapping lads LA has.

I was hoping for an Angels/Dodgers series, but I'll settle for an Angels/Phillies series.

Dodgers/Yankees would have been neat too. I want to see Joe Torre make Steinbrenner cry.

The only problem I have with the Dodgers is Manny. I really don't want him to get another ring.

Of course, I have problems with all 4 teams, but I guess I'll have to go with the lesser of all the evils; Go Angels

I want the Yankees to lose in the WS, it would be cool if it were to the dodgers.

I miss Manny. I hate having to watch him play for another team.
I feel like the Red Sox are lacking personalities, everyone is just ho hum.

well, if the red sox came back from a big deficit, the dodgers can too. so, gotta start wearing my rally cap from here on out

I'm only rooting for the Phillies because Cliff Lee got traded to them. Next year the Indians will atleast 70 games mark my words!!!

I sure hope asking for a .432 win percentage isn't to much to ask for.

You summed up my thoughts perfectly. As a Red Sox fan I still love Manny and was sad to see him go.

I'd rather have players that stick with their team in the ninth.

That said, Phillies in five!

I bought a Red Sox jersey in 2008, first one I ever bought. Manny Ramirez. I figured what the hell, there's drama every year, but the guy is untradeable. They've tried in the past. And then he finally caused so much drama that the Sox had NO CHOICE but to trade him. I was so upset. Manny may be completely out of his fucking mind, but I love him.

my buddy gave me his Manny Ramirez Dodger jersey that he bought off of airjordanclub.com cause it was too small for him. thats my only baseball jersey. if i could find a Fernando Valenzuela jersey i would definitely pick that up.

Anyone holding the hope that the Angels come back? I really don't want to see Yankees/Phillies

I just always enjoy those Yankee fall aparts...they always provide ESPN with coverage of what "went wrong" and "where do they go from here"?

I would rather see Yankees/Phillies. I want the Yankees to lose in game seven at home in dramatic fashion. Then I want to watch A-Rod cry because he was 0-5 in that game, with at least two runners on base for all of his at bats. Then I want to listen to Joe Buck tell me how awesome the Yankees are even though we are watching the Phillies celebrate at Yankee Stadium.

If you could guarentee such a thing, I would be for it. But Yanks are long overdue to win a World Series and think the momentum from the Angels series will push them to win again.
