Syd has granted me some developmental space on his web server so that I can help out with a few basic coding tasks. I asked him to name it resources or something like that. He thought that karatekid was a better name. Who the fuck am I to argue?

In any case, the space is being used to handle some basic things like style sheets and graphics needed by applications that Syd has running. The wiki is a perfect example.

With this space I have begun to tool around with some ideas.

I'll post them here as they are developed.

Then I entered in the Sydlexia chat room settings and hid them so that no one needs to fumble with that stuff.

I colored the page to match the Sydlexia look and feel.

I set the username to randomly generate for quick logins and set it to auto select and focus. This means that when you load the page you should be able to do one of two things. Either press Enter and be chatting right away, or start typing your nick and then press enter. No mouse clicks are necessary.

Let me know what you think.

Depends how complicated it is. I'm open to hear about it though.
