I haven't even tried this one yet, actually. I'm holding off. Bubble Bobble irks me quite a bit, but most of that is the music, and I won't be listening to it.

So the final boss is Super Drunk. I can't believe that slipped by the NES Censor Nazis. They must have been...well, super drunk.
But we're fighting him on Super Bubble Bobble mode.
Plus, we need to beat him when he's powered up.
So our goal is to beat Super Super Super Drunk?

Actually, he's only Super Drunk in the Japanese version.
In the North American version, he's Grumple Gromit, and the regular Drunks are called Willy Whistle. When you beat the game, the credit sequence shows the original Japanese named for the basic monsters, but iirc, it doesn't show the boss.

I wouldn't. Unless you played through Super Bubble Bobble, you fought a different end boss (slightly different, but different nonetheless) and possibly had more lives to work with.

Nice run Satsui.
The next NES Challenge, if it has this game, should probably be like a Non-Continuing run or 1 life run of the game  It's a lot of fun... plsu I've found some levels you may actually need more than 1 life to complete due to the irritating location of enemies.
