I say when the next challenge rolls around, we should play TMNT III: The Manhattan Project! Eh, eh??

I haven't even sent in a single complete challenge even though I've played a couple of them. When do the points reset so I can get in on this from the beginning? Very Happy

This one is for distance, so actually any submitted run would count as Completed. Smile

This challenge is pissing me off. I -know- I can do better than I'm doing, but playing for 1/2 hour to get back to that place where I make the one mistake is friggin irritating.

I wish I could have put more time into this Round, and I'm pretty sure I'll come in 5th or 6th at best, but overhead space shooters are harder for me than side scrolling ones for some reason(like Life Force).

Like Not Sure, I had not heard about this game until this round.

Yeah, that huge eye in level 3 is giving me pain. The seaweed lasers coming out of it take 1/2 of my life with a scratch. =/

I like these kind of games(space shooters), but they do get tedious after awhile. They're fun, but Guardian Legend is totally random in enemy appearances you WANT to know are coming. Adds some diversity to the videos for sure, but playing under the recorder, can be pretty stressful at times Smile

Not in my experience. Some enemies appear in random places on the screen, but they all appear at the same place in the level.

Since I am now on 3rd Shift I am going to post this now because there is no way in hell I'm staying up til 4 p.m. to post it, nor do I feel like going to the Library after work.

Week 9 Challenge - Castlevania III. Enter the name URATA when you start the game. This will start you with Sypha Belnades as your second character. Switch to Sypha and use her for the duration of the game. Make it as far as you can without continuing. Tiebreaker will be score.

Also if you haven't noticed this is also the Poll week, so I don't get to completely ruin what fun you might have been able to have. Crying

Most votes wins. In case of a tie the game will be chosen by very mathmatical/precise calculations and alogorithms. (aka I will choose the one I want.)

Also during week 10 there will be an extra credit quiz posted, more info on that when it gets closer. Since I am still adjusting to sleeping while normal people are up I will post the results for week 7 & 8 probably on Thursday or Friday, since thats when I am FINALLY getting the internet at my home. NO MORE LIBRARY!!!!

One last question: Can we take any path we want?

I voted for Gauntlet. Smile

I've never beaten it, but it's a sure distance thing.

Of those, I've never played Crash N' The Boys and Power Punch 2. I expected the list to have more popular games like, I don't know, Mega Man?

I gave my vote to Friday the 13th, there's a lot that can be done with that game when it comes to challenges.

Friday the 13th is a fantastically average game. Might have made a good middle-round choice in this contest (unlike, say, Castle of Dragon).

I still made it my vote because it's the game in that list that doesn't suck ass and I'm decent at.

I'd be satisfied with Marble Madness, though.

Marble Madness is the epitome of frustration. If you don't think so, wait to see if we have to play for a week Wink

11th hour entry sent in to replace my old one.

I'm so irritated with myself. In my "test runs", I was able to get so much farther. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to talk about that song anymore UsaSatsui. Weird Al talks about having a Rabid Wolverine in his underpants.

He started it!

Okay, I need a favor. I can't find a Chocolate Chip Cookie. The usual place where I get Chocolate Chip Cookies is down, and I can't find one that's properly baked on my own (they're all Japanese cookies or ones where someone has changed the recipe) If someone could e-mail or private message me a place where I could find a good Chocolate Chip Cookie, I would really appreciate it.

I wonder if we get our cookies from the same place, because the place I usually go to is down.
