I'm super pissed. I completely forgot about skipping the vine in 4-2. I haven't seen it done in a long time. If I had remembered about it, I would have done much better. I could rarely get my way to work on the first try so I lost lives. Lives that I wanted to save incase I needed them in 8-1, where I also have trouble completing the jump on my first try.

I never thought of doing what you did in 8-4. When you said an easy way, I just assumed you did it my way.

I wanted to post these vids as proof, but none of these are from the run I turned in as I never could put a satisfactory run together.

Yeah. But the few times I pulled off that jump in 8-1, I died and kept going rather than resetting. Everytime, I died again and got a game over.

This is a tool assisted zero coin speedrun. It isn't mine. Its just one I used as a reference. Though it is tool assisted (I believe he said he used savestates and possibly slowed down the gameplay), it could easily be done using a combo of the glitch exploits that we used for this contest.

I was talking about 8-1, not 8-4. But you're right. If I couldn't get the turtle jump, I would try the wall jump. I never did get the wall jump to work for me in 8-4.
