My questionable power-up is Rapid Fire. It doesn't really do anything.

Contra. No powerups? One Life? You're a sick man, Douche.

Thank you! You would have hated me for the challenge I was originally going to do. Basically that challenge is going to be for my own sick twisted pleasure.
And to answer Ghandi, Anything that does not change your gunfire I do not consider a power up.

I missed last weeks cause I was busy moving, but I'll definitely be giving this one a shot. How much would it suck if you accidentally picked up a power up in the middle of your run?

You will eventually, don't you worry.

That's gonna add to the skill involved. Obtaining a power-up is the same as dying, so if you get insanely far somehow and you accidentally get a new weapon it's like you died, and your progress will be up to that point.

OK, so Rapid Fire would be the only acceptable power-up should be accidentally pick up something. Good, I always hated that one. I made my friends get it
As for the first part, I thought that's why you unleashed TMNT on us

No I did that to help the masses that always complain about the dam level. It's really not that hard, even if you take your time.

I can only imagine Douche's sick, twisted challenge would probably involve getting through the Turbo Tunnel in Battletoads. Which, by the way, isn't that hard at all if you pay attention to the pattern.

Are both rapid fire and invincibility allowed, then? |
Do they change the bullets that come out of your gun? If they do, then I would say yes, but I would also suggest getting a different version because that's not supposed to happen.

Rapid Fire makes you shoot faster, doesn't it?
Hmmm, this could e interesting.
Question: I've got a translated Japanese version of Contra. Except for some cutscenes and animation, the gameplay is the same. Is it OK, or do I need to find me an American one?

You mean you hold the turbo button to hard?

I don't know if I'll be able to beat the game under these conditions. You picked a good challenge, sir.

Good to know! If you can't do it, it might mean it will be a challenge.

I think the gameplay is slightly different in the japanese version, and there are definitely sweet stillshots in between levels that make it rock even harder.

I'm gonna have to do some practicing, but the first Contra is a piece of cake compared to Contra 4.
