Really? Because I thought the exact opposite. Poorly conceived, poorly acted and written, and poorly produced. I'm a HUGE mark for HBO, but I just can't watch this pile of shit.

I don't get HBO, but I had the "fortune" of seeing some of this while I was on my vacation in Ohio. Yay for hotel rooms. Anyway, I'm with Spanky on this one. There was one scene I saw where he was talking to his daughter who kept asking "why" to the point where he wound up, very calmly, explaining all of America's economic policy, and then saying that God is dead or something like that. I found that part amusing, but everything else I saw (I assume I saw good chuncks of a couple episodes) was very disinteresting.

I thought it was funny in spite of some questionable acting and it being just a little overboard on the explicit side.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm willing to give it a chance despite Spanky and Jeebus hating on it.
