I'm making a thread for finding awesome toys in unexpected places. Here's mine:

I was in the dollar store one day, because I was over at my friend's house and we were low on soda (and the bootleg shit is OK). So we grab the soda, and decide to look around for some snacks. I ended up in some kind of overstock isle, and I found this for 5 bucks:

It's pretty damn nice. I'm thinking of putting some red LEDs in the bottom on a switch, just so it will look damn awesome in the dark. Overall, pretty nice find. But I'm hoping to find this:

That's actually not bad for $5. You can usually find stuff at the swap meet (indoor & outdoor.)

Oh, yeah. It looks damn nice. I have it on top of my computer monitor, with IG-88 wallpaper.

Yeah, the seven inch Titanium line bombed beyond belief. Well, the titanium line in general did besides the small vehicle size. Good luck finding that Jetfire anywhere; despite the fact that Target has been getting a lot of backstocked Transformers Titaniums recently, Jetfire is not one of them. And even if he was, he'd be gone within five minutes of hitting the shelf.

I was in my local comic store the other day and they had just bought an action figure collection. I got The Maxx from one of McFarlane's Spawn lines for $4. It was awesome.

I got a Link figure at a garage sale.

I had been looking for the 'animated Superman' Supergirl figure and found it at Comic-con for $15, but it was crossed eyed due to a bad paint job, so I didn't buy it. Months later, I found the same kind of figure (with normal eyes) at the comic book store for $8.

Yeah it was. The Maxx cartoon was my first exposure to a limited cartoon series with a definite beginning, middle, and end.

I saw those the other day and had been meaning to tell you. Unless I did tell you and that's how you knew about them. I know I told either you or Sample about them...

Musta been Sample you told...

You told me they had the Optimus reissue, but I didn't really have time to look for it or as about it because I had other places I had to go. I did manage to pick up S-Mart Ash and David from the Lost Boys while I was there too, but those weren't really unexpected. And the Goomba was way overpriced.

Yeah, the G1 reissues are on the back wall behind the checkouts. Assuming we're talking the Saugus one.
