Not bad.

I'm kinda underwhelmed by Dracula though.

They've gone with so many different looks for him over the years, and that one is just meh. Actually, I guess my only real complete is his awkward beard/moustache combo. They make him look less menacing, and the moustache looks weird above his open mouth.

The succubus is in the line too and comes with the axe and a flea man (oh, and I'm fairly certain her top comes off to match the game art and her sprite.) Perhaps you'd prefer Castlevania X Dracula Syd, with his purple skin and eurotrash tux?

Well, strictly speaking, since they went with Simon Belmont for S1, they should have used a Dracula design from a game that Belmont was actually in. And since they redesigned Belmont to be some red-haired goth homo in Castlevania Chronicles, it needs to be from an early game.

Unfortunately, Dracula didn't really look particularly cool in the NES Castlevanias, or even in Super Castlevania IV. In the original MSX game, Vampire Killer, the count's flesh had rotted off, leaving him as little more than a caped skeleton... and then he possessed a portrait. Skeleton Dracula might be cool to see eventually, but it's not a good S1 figure. My vote would have been for one of the Dracula forms from the 1993 Sharp X68000 remake of Castlevania:

The Dracula they used most closely resembles the Drac from Circle of the Moon, which is gay. Any other recent Drac would have been better: SOTN, Castlevania 64, Legacy of Darkness (in which the old Gilles de Rais model from C64 is Dracula), or Curse of Darkness.

Actually, the bearded look is my favorite one. It doesn't look good with the open vampire mouth, though.

Those are looking really sweet... May its paint be unpoisonous - cause Dracula sucks. Geti- Ah, forget it.

It is sort of weird that they went with Simon instead of Rictor, since the rest of the line is SOTN. I do like SOTN Dracula though, that game's designs were cool for a split second before every video game protagonist was an effeminate goth in a jacket with way too many buttons. And knowing the toy industry, we'll probably either get an alternate, non-snarling head packed in with Dracula or it will be an exclusive or variant. These are also prototypes just revealed at San Diego Comic Con a couple weeks ago, things can and probably will change.

I hope we get a different head, or something. The snarl just doesn't do it for me.

But the snarl at the end is awkward, especially when my semen falls out of her mouth.

Ooooooh, MOGHARR WANT! The funny thing is, I was just looking at Castlevania stuff on eBay since the forums were down for awhile. One of the things I saw were the clay models of these. It's pretty cool that they're almost out.

Black Zarak, since you refused to believe me earlier, SOTN Dracula did indeed have giant pointy Vulcan ears and no beard or 'stache:

I didn't say I didn't believe you, I said the figure is based on the artwork from the booklet, not the sprite.

I don't like the open mouth on Dracula so much, but at least they didn't use the Simon's Quest "dracula."

The 8' skeleton wrapped in a death shroud?

Yeah, that would have been lame.

There'll probably be some vendor-exclusive Richter that reuses the Simon mold, maybe with different hair or something? Maybe retool the Succubus for a Maria figure as well, and do it as a 2-pack.
