What a great fucking day and year to be a Boston sports fans. Between Moss, Garnett, Allen, Gagne, the Yankees sucking, and nobody in the NBA Eastern conference getting better, everything's coming up roses.

Except for the Bruins, who I could give a fuck less about. That's the general consensus around the city.

WOO HOO!

I was wondering when one of you guys were gonna mention this.

The Celtics are gonna be a force next year. How about a Bulls v. Celtics Finals? Nah, that's just wishful thinking for both of us....

LOL random topic, but I like. Anyhow, latest rumor is that Kevin Garnett AKA the Big Ticket is on the trading block to go to the Celtics. Which would be incredible w/Ray Allen and Paul Pierce as their main three. That would be HAWT!!

Now, hopefully the Lakers can do something right...

EDIT: oh wow... the KG deal just went thru:

BOSTON -- The Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics, who nearly completed a blockbuster Kevin Garnett trade before the June draft, completed the megadeal Tuesday after two days of renewed talks.

The Celtics acquired Garnett, a 10-time All-Star and the NBA MVP in 2004, from Minnesota in exchange for Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff, Sebastian Telfair, a 2009 first-round draft pick and a return of Minnesota's conditional first-round pick previously obtained in the Ricky Davis-Wally Szczerbiak trade.

The Timberwolves also receive cash considerations in the deal. The 2009 pick Boston is sending to Minnesota is top-three protected.

"I am excited to become a Celtic," Garnett said. "It's wonderful to have the opportunity to play with players the quality of Paul and Ray. The Celtics have had a proud tradition and now I hope that we can add to the legacy."

The Boston Herald reported on its Web site Tuesday that Garnett has agreed to a three-year extension with the Celtics, in addition to the two years left on contract, which would keep him in Boston through the 2011-12 season.

I hope you mean Eastern conference finals, since they're both in the East.

If so, I'm ok with that. The baby Bulls are decent, but no way Big Ben can cover KG.

I may finally have a reason to watch the Blazers again, since we got Oden, and ditched all of our troublesome players.

I think in about 2-3 years, we will go back to the level we were at in the late 80s early 90s. Except maybe this time we'll win instead of choke in the finals.

I love it. Now we just need to find pulses to fill out a 12-man roster.
