So the M2 version of Outrun on the Switch eShop is excellent.
It is incredibly smooth, feature packed and most certainly the definitive version. If you ever had an interest in this game I highly recommend this version.
The 3DS version is probably my favorite, as it has the best 3D effects of any game on the console I can think of. I will definitely be checking this out though.

Oh I totally agree, the 3DS is the definitive version and probably the best showcase of the 3D effects on the platform.
