Long story short, took over running the largest games/comic store in FL and have had like 0 time for anything; we just got outed as a top 10 Diamond account with no real online presence, so that's kind of an achievement! It's nice to see that more or less everyone's still with us. I hope to post here occasionally. I have learned some things but remain unrepentant with regards to most others.

Awesome. Good to hear you're still doing well, and congrats on the success with the business!

On a random note, looks like it's been about 10 years since I've joined these forums? Considering doing a detailed "Here's What I've Been Up To" post, but again, it's finding the time for it.

Very cool, man. A gaming/comics store seems so fun and miserable at the same time. I love hanging in gaming stores but I'd hate to run one.

Welcome back, man <3

I'm so glad to hear things seem to be going well. What a business to run! Couldn't be happier for you!

It was an incredibly weird experience from start to finish. Having worked in the industry, I can confidently say it's not a thing I'll ever repeat directly as far as the retail aspect of things. Honestly, my heart was much more into the gaming side than the comics, though I love comics very much, and as far as an in-store setting goes, I don't really know how that's going to work effectively going forwards, at least for the next year or so. Absolutely the weirdest retail position I've ever done, and I could go on for hours about it, but will digress.

I'd be the exact opposite. I typically try to be in and out of these stores before someone strikes up a conversation with me about something I'm about to purchase. As an employer/employee...I really don't care since I'm getting paid.
