What's the worst job you've ever had. If you haven't had a bad one, then feel free to gripe about your current job.

Mine was babysitting my parent's friend's kids. Those kids were fucking insane monsters, like Gremlins.

Grinder! Ugh. UGH UGH UGH! Sitting in a factory, on an office chair with no back, grinding down wheel hubs eight hours a day. I can only demonstrate what this job was like one way, sound. Download. The "YEEEEEEEEEEH", is the grinding, the "CLANG", is me throwing the wheel hub into a giant metal crate.

Imagine that, eight hours a fucking day. Couldn't bring your MP3 player or anything, just YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH, YEEEEEEEEEEH, YEEEEEEEH, eight hours a day.

I lasted six days and walked away midshift one day. I know you're thinking "YOU REALLY SCREWED THEM OVER! I MEAN, THEY HAVE QUOTAS TO MEET, YOU KNOW?!", I don't care. I was the fourth grinder to leave that week.

There never was an image here, what the fuck are you talking about?

My bad job is my summer/whenever I'm not at college job: Supermarket Slave. I've worked in frozen food, seafood, and deli. Who knows what they'll make me do when I go back in December. Good times.

And by good times, I mean the exact opposite, naturally.

I swear, working there, interacting with these people, it makes me dumber. I'm certain of it.

My worst job was working as a labourer on a sod farm. That sod cutter tossed me around like a little bitch. And if you've ever seen one, you know what I'm talking about.

My worst LIFE EXPERIENCE was working @ Burger King!

When I quit I vowed I would slit my wrists before ever working there again!!!

Here's some reasons I hated that place:
- The GM was a sexist bastard who was obsessed with "health" (he talked about protein shakes more than fucking burgers), and spent more time kissing the owners ass than doing anything related to work
- Incompetent staff, for example Bacon Double Cheeseburgers have BACON on them! fucking morons
- Weekends = drunk morons! "Do you wanna come home with me sweetie?" My reply "Sure, just let me peel off this greasy cruddy uniform, and I'll be right out... oh wait! I'm not retarded" and slam the window shut.
- The night a homeless man said he was gonna bomb the place --- oh wait! That was more of a dream come true, so long as I wasn't there!
- Fat people work there and just get fatter and fatter

"every burger deserves a little TLC" ---> BARF!!!

Not that I think there's anything wrong with working at grocery store, but I did that for five years (starting from the DAY I was legally old enough to work) and the place at which I was hired was run by some of the stupidest goddamn management you'd ever want to see.

That store taught me three things.

1) If you've never shaved with a non-electric razor before and your (admittedly cool) head cashier is nervous about his "superiors" coming in and seeing you with a couple days' stubble, you WILL rip your face to fucking shreds trying to learn the skill in the employee breakroom.

2) Bowties are a construct of pure evil, plain and simple.

3) Anyone with the last name "Palmerino" deserves to be hit. Anyone.

The stupidest thing about that place was that no one, boy or girl, was allowed to wear earrings. Now, I have no desire to wear earrings, but it was still a hilariously outdated policy. I mean seriously... that company was founded in 1947 and I'm pretty sure that their employee handbook hadn't received any major updated between then and 2000.

I worked at Jack in the Box for three days. I got hired at a better job and quit.

Jack in the Box wasn't awful, persay, but it was still a shit job. I worked with losers for the most part, but they were usually helpful. The kitchen was cramped as fuck. It was greasy and hot. At the end of the day, you FELT like you were peeling off your uniform, as it had sort of crusted into a shell over you throughout the shift. Let's see, what else...oh yeah, I got to see a guy named Darrel make 50 tacos in like a minute, that was pretty intense.

Well, the biggest thing they had going for them at the time was the idea that they were the "nice, polite" store, as opposed to the vile house of ill reupte that was Shaw's , where kids could, y'know, escape 1955. Laughing

But I guess even that isn't helping so much anymore, as my buddy who still works there tells me that the grand re-opening they staged a while back was a horrible failure, especially compared to how Shaw's did a few months later.

Though I'd give my right arm for a copy of the orientation video they made us watch there. The clerk giving the old lady a 'tude because she asked about oranges was GREAT.

Worst Job ever.....

I worked a McD's once. I hated them 'cause I was living in a bad area (Bedstuy in Brooklyn, NY) and a lot of people were cursing me out:

"When the FUCK is my shit gon' be ready?"

This guy was really being disrespectful to me and I jumped over the table, and beat his ass.

I was fired without pay.

Dishwasher in a pizza place.

I used to stuff trash bags into my pants like a giant bib to keep my nuts dry.

I had a job saving ashes in a shipyard. It was so bad, I used to hold my tongue every time I talked about it.

I worked at Sephora when I was a freshman in college. Articles like http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf/HilaryVMoore covered their policy a lot of times, but not entirely. My manager would constantly monitor us. We were not allowed to speak to each other, or to make any type of small talk to a customer. Moreover, sometimes we were banned from using the bathroom. It was a living hell!

I was thinking about this the other day. I mentioned this a long time ago on this forum, but I'll type it again.

I worked in a dark, dingy warehouse in the middle of the night. There were machines that made sheets of insulation, and cut them into correct shapes they needed to be in. Eight hours a night, I had to stand there and tear off all the extra pieces that weren't supposed to be there, and place the sheets of insulation into a tray to be shipped out. The lack of mental stimulation killed my mood, and doing the same body motions over and over made me hurt. It sucked and I wanted to die. I worked with a crass and angry worker when I wasn't fast enough, or a piece got dented somehow. I wasn't properly trained to do the job, and expected to know everything the minute I first stepped into the building.

I remember my first job because it was the worst one i ever had. I wasn't hired as an employee but rather as a slave. I had to work a minimum of 12 hours a day and guess what, i never get to work at minimum hours during my 5 months of working , yeah cheers for that. I was hired as a content writer for a not to be named essay writing company and being the Chesapeake they were, including me there were only 2 other writers whom have to work as much as i do on a daily basis. The best part was when i found a new job and spent my last day writing a 300 words resignation to them explaining why they are devils in flesh and why their employees need to file a case on them.

I work at Starbucks currently and I think it is a truly awful job. I've been there five years though so I guess that is pretty much not a good indicator of my own desire to live a life at a job that isn't ass. It didn't always suck and I like a lot of my coworkers, even though it is a new crew every six months or so. It has been mostly terrible for the past two to three years though and I keep saying I'll leave.
