I honestly forget if politics are allowed here, wasn't there a whole big deal about that?

Anyway, did any of you guys catch the state of the union address last night? I fully admit that I haven't watched any of the previous ones because I didn't give a shit, but there was a lot of dumb horse shit in it that really put me off. Not exactly hard to set me off with it given who was delivering the speech, but even outside of that I was just generally displeased.

Also, I didn't realize that Republican senators are basically a glorified frat party. "U-S-A" chants are not something I ever expected to hear about coming from the chamber of congress.

It's literally what you described it as. Trump feels hurt whenever someone dares not to be sycophantic towards him so he uses big words to try and undermine the people against him. Calling Democrats unpatriotic and treasonous isn't really some sort of political gambit, more that it's a cheap way for him to score points with his base and try to make dems look bad. I'm sure my bias shows but it's overall pathetic behavior.
