NASA has announced that they're pretty sure they've found liquid water on Mars, thus elevating the chances that there might be microbial life on our sister planet. Fascinating. I know that NASA is trying to plan a manned mission to Mars in the 2030s, and other than the fact that I'll be well into middle aged and have no youth yet to cling to by then, I can't wait. We definitely live in exciting times.

Mars may have once had a dense atmosphere with plenty of water and oceans that could have covered as much as two-thirds of its northern hemisphere.
