The Pineapple Express 2 scene from This Is The End. Makes me cry every time...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dT21G3iDKc0

The last 15 minutes of the Lego Movie =)

When they take to many lipids scene in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

But for real maybe the rape scene in Irreversible and the monologue at the end of Scent of a woman

The end of The Life Aquatic.

The end of Audition.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-4tu_ro98Pw

The "Coffee is for closers" scene from Glen Gary, Glenn Ross. Just Epic...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8kZg_ALxEz0

I'm sure you weren't going for these types of scenes when you mean emotional but whatever...

It is not overrated and is best movie in the trilogy in my opinion. Also Batman does not die...

Maybe watch the movie and give it a chance, and then you might understand why that scene is emotionally charged.

For sure. I hope someone finally gets around to producing Blood Meridian one day despite the fact that many have tried and failed due to it being one of the most violent or "depraved" works of fiction pretty much ever. However, there can be no such thing as a bad Cormac McCarthy adaptation.

This movie also appears to be incredibly hard to make, not just due to its subject matter but its nuances, and really you just don't want to fuck this book up if you don't know what you are doing. Also who would play Judge Holden the antagonist and psychopathic polymath? Christopher Walken please...

Just watched Birdman last night, and there's a scene where Emma Stone's character yells at her dad (Michael Keaton's character) about how he fights to stay relevant while shunning things like social media, and it's just one long, focused shot that made my heart stop. A great show of how powerful of an actress she is, too.

I'd also have to say... Most of Forrest Gump, the end of the Perks of Being a Wallflower, the party scene in It's Kind of a Funny Story (a great film featuring Zach Galifianakis in a dramatic role), Beethoven's Fifth in Fantasia 2000, the funeral scene in My Sister's Keeper (that one hit real close to home) and I'm sure there's other because I'm a puss.

And to include TV, only two shows to make me cry: Parks and Recreation, and Doctor Who. In Parks, it was Anne revealing the results of the recall to Leslie, and the wedding. In Doctor Who, it's the departure of Rose, the Tenth Doctor saying goodbye (especially when he says goodbye to Donna's family), when Amy and Rory reveal that they still love each other in Asylum of the Daleks, Amy and Rory's final episode, and the Eleventh Doctor's final moments.

i didnt care for Its Kind of a Funny Story. i thought zach galifanakis did great, but the protagonist was annoying. his 'mini messiah' character was horrible, and the writing was just bad.

Just watched this movie yesterday and it was pretty fucking awesome. I had know idea that it was written and directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, I would have watched it earlier if I had known. Some of those shots, incredibly hard to shoot let alone direct...

So as for emotional movies scenes, Alejandro González Iñárritu's Amores Perros ending(s).

A masterpiece...

Also the end of Lost in Translation:

So Birdman basically won the Oscar in every major category. I general dislike watching the Oscars but I was pleasantly surprised with the accolades this movie received from an organization that generally dismisses a movies like this.

Also the director couldn't have been more down to earth as he was with each award speech.

Patricia Arquette on the other hand, I had to close my eyes and ears. The type of shit politics she pushed into her "thank you" speech was nauseous and is the reason I usually don't watch the Oscars.

Vapid...
