heh, that was a pretty funny review. i am very excited about this game in general. i cant wait for both the 3ds & wii u versions to be released.

So now we've got Robin and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening. Also, Captain Falcon is back.

Chrom will only be making a cameo appearance in one of Robin's moves, sadly.

I don't care if this is a roleplay, I'm just unsure about saying this in the same breath they're thanking them for 3D assets for the Rayman trophy.

I am seriously starting to consider picking up a Wii U. This game looks like it is going to be super fun.

I'm guessing Lucina shares the same moves with Marth? Her reveal video makes it look that way. Maybe some slight nuances will become more apparent.

Also, we all knew Captain Falcon was going to be back, but now that it's official I feel like celebrating.

I'm concerned that Lucina and Marth will be easy to confuse with each other. I learned today that [SPOILER:91cc92f0bb]Lucina's story involved impersonating Marth, El Cid-style.[/SPOILER:91cc92f0bb]

Some stats about the characters if anyone cares: The original game had 12 characters, Melee had 26 characters, Brawl had 39 characters, Wii U/3DS currently has 34 characters (36 counting Mii Fighters as three). Counting characters with male and female forms as two each, there are 28 male and 12 female characters, whereas Melee and Brawl had 3 and 4 respectively (counting Samus/Zero Suit and Zelda/Sheik as separate, and Sheik as female).

Other notes: Mr. Game & Watch is very likely confirmed by way of Pac-Man's video and having an Amiibo. Also, Ms. Pac-Man should be an alt for Pac-Man. People complain about Pokemon and Fire Emblem now having four characters each, but there's six Mario characters and five Zelda characters (if Ganondorf comes back) and no one has any issue with that.

I'm pretty psyched about this honestly. I was expecting something like an Ice Climbers link system for Lucina and Chrom, but this approach greatly pleases me.

And Excel, Awakening has nearly 30 chapters, Lucina's revelation of not actually being Marth happens in Chapter 6. During her ruse as "Marth," she always wore a mask to cover her face.

I figured since the people who played the game openly talked about wanting her in, that plot point was well known, but I edited my post to have a spoiler just in case. I saw the mask too and thought she was doing the same deal as Zero from Code Geass. Why do all these stories have to be so confusing?

It's probably safe to assume that his incarnation in this game will be severely nerfed given how he was banned in the last game.

Any thoughts on the roster leaks from the past week? I personally think they are for real and I'm pretty happy with the complete roster. The DLC part sounds far-fetched, but I won't complain if I can get Mewtwo and Snake back.

I would post the GameXplain vid that explains pretty much everything, but I've been having trouble posting vids here for a while.

Some nobody on Twitter claimed that the person responsible was a now ex-Nintendo of America employee who is now facing legal action, but I haven't heard anything about it from more reputable sources. Ultimately, I don't see the point of it since the game is so close to release anyway. Believe it or not, I know people who think it's a work from Nintendo themselves to build more hype, as if they've been having trouble doing it the normal way for the last two or so years.

I hope that Smash Bros. stream last night taught Nintendo a lesson about release date gaps for differing regions. If they were able to get Pokémon X and Y out in all regions on the same day, why not Smash Bros.? Surely there's less stuff to localize.
