Yeah, let's not show Mega Man in the trailer. People will be more excited to see that nameless fuck from Animal Shit No One Cares About. That'll fire up the base.

I could give or take the Villager, but I'm just so thankful that we've got a Mega Man with a Slide AND a Metal Blade (among other non-MM2 weapons). The only thing I wish they'd have done is utilize the Rush Adapter (two units: a jet pack and rocket puncher in MM6 and a hybrid of the two in MM7) instead of Blaze Man for his Final Smash.

Also, could that boxing ring stage mean Little Mac is a playable character? I certainly hope so.
Yeah, I'd say they're running out of characters, but that's not possible. At least it isn't a clone. Maybe this means they're opening it up for more ips.

I like to think of SSB as a sort of living museum for Nintendo's history. In that sense, the Wii Fit character (while a little stupid looking) is included. It is their best selling game of all time, after all.

They did show Mega Man in the trailer. They devoted like a whole minute and a half or so to nothing but showing him off.

It's looking like one of the new stages is the Ferox Arena from Fire Emblem Awakening. Hopefully this means that we'll also be gaining Chrom as a playable character (possibly in exchange for Ike).

Director Masahiro Sakurai has said there won't be many third party characters. Megaman is a "special case". I know everybody pretty much figured this, but it sucks to think that there won't be many surprises this time.
I guess we can call them "Smash U" and "Smash 3" for short.

I'll even settle for a cameo in the ending or something, like with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Street Fighter X Mega Man is officially a Capcom game, so there's precedent for it.
