I collect knives but I couldn't tell you much about them, heh. As long as they are sharp and shiny and sometimes pointy, I love them. I have probably over 400 knives right now.

Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence? When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a footnote to my magnificence. I am SHODAN.

I have knives for hunting, camping, and everyday carry. I don't collect them though, I just have a few that I will replace when they become damaged.

Right now I have:

A Victorinox Swiss army knife for everyday carry.

I have some kind of assisted open Kershaw folding knife for everyday carry, and personal protection.

I have a Buck Special, and a Kershaw Roughneck for hunting and camping.

I had an SOG Fusion Fixation, but it broke in half at the handle when I was chopping a small branch for firewood. Upon close examination it appears that the knife was not a solid piece of metal but two pieces tack welded where the blade and the tang meet. I'll never by anything SOG again.

I also carry a Leatherman Blast multi-tool occasionally, especially when I go fishing.

My friend has purchased many knives from a company called Blind Horse Knives. I'm thinking of maybe buying a hunting/camping knife from them since I've examined my buddies and they seem very high quality.

Hmm, I thought I replied to this topic years ago.

I have two notable knives:

The Phoenix knife which was used as the famous Klingon knife in ST:TNG.

As well as a British Commando knife that I bought from army surplus a loooooong time ago.

I used to have a sweet pocket knife that was probably 11" unfolded, with a purple handle, but that broke and I never was able to find a replacement. So, I just have a blue handled "toothpick" pocket knife. Much smaller.

I've got tons of kinves, but my favorite was an old fashioned pearl handled switchblade stilleto.

Sadly I let a buddy borrow it and he prompty went and got arrested, it's probably still sitting in some evidence room. This was ages ago.

Worst part is he bought me some crappy made in china knock off crap samurai dagger as compensation. I haven't seen real switchblades for sale anywhere since then. Confused

I've seen switchblades online.
Nothing I'd spend money on but they do exist.
