So I went to a DA midnight prerelease at my FLGS. I wound up playing RG after getting, among other things, a pair of Immerwolves, Mondronen Shaman, a Predator Ooze and a few effects like Prey Upon, Fling, Alpha Brawl, etc.

Highlights:
* Scoring a crucial win from being pecked at by an Invisible Stalker for 18 turns. He played a Blind Ghoul (giving him a second creature) and I was able to tap out and play Alpha Brawl to kill his Stalker and finish with my werewolves.

* Having an opponent manage to play, equip, and transform the Binding Blade all in the same turn.

* My last round went by nearly flawlessly with both a transformed Shaman and Curse of the Pierced Heart whittling him down while pounding on him with Immerwolves and shooting down any threats he had.

* Village Cannibals is going to see a lot of play in any Innistrad-block-heavy black deck

As far as the tribes went, I didn't face any other werewolf decks, managed to fend off Zombies, was decimated by Spirits (nothing good for air defense), and had no problem against Vampires.

-13/-13 for B is insane.

I came in 2nd at a prerelease last night. I played a U/B/W deck including:

Geist of Saint Traft
Geralf's Mindcrusher
Geralf's Servant
Foil Gravecrawler
Champion of the Parish
Diregraf Captain (Not rare, but still retarded good)

The one match I lost, I got wrecked by Sudden Disappearance. Game 3 was close, and that ended it. Worst part was I had board advantage.

I went to a midnight prerelease and did alright. I got 2 Drogskol Captians so I just played a bunch of flying spirits with Trepanation Blade and Runechanter's Pike. I went 3-1, losing to a guy who got 3rd turn Daybreak Ranger 3 games in a row and shot all my spirits down.

I'm not real excited about the set though. I've never been a big fan of tribes or tokens which is a big theme. And there aren't many other cards I'm excited about.

The new Sorin is awesome but I'm broke so I can't afford to build a new deck around him.

I've been wanting to make a birthing pod deck so I'll probably use Strangleroot Geist and Vorapede if I build it.

Tragic Slip seems really good like the OP said.

I can't think of anything else that I plan on playing at FNM.

I went to the pre release, didn't get a great pool and made a crappy R/G deck that Jeebus gave me pointers on between rounds to improve it with but still wasn't enough to get me anywhere. My rares were Kessig Wolf Run, Devil's Play, Hellrider, Grafdigger's Cage, Alpha Brawl and Cackling Counterpart. I had a lot of flashback cards so the cage was useless and not enough blue to play the Counterpart, had some decent black with a Walking Corpse, Highborn Ghoul, Black Cat and two Death's Caress but still.

Oh, I had this guy too:

He is a fucking BOMB in limited, especially if you're B/W. Whereas a lot of the removal we saw in Innistrad (Smite The Monstrous, Rebuke, Victim of Night, Avacynian Priest) was conditional, the Flayer can destroy any non-hexproof creature. He combos well with guys like Village Cannibals, Thraben Sentry, and Unruly Mob, and he has plenty of desirable pitch targets: Elder Cathar, Doomed Traveled, Loyal Cathar, Masoleum Guard.

Also, here's a fun ruling from Gatherer: "Another double-faced card that becomes a copy of Loyal Cathar and then dies will return to the battlefield with its back face up."

Fun with Mirrorweave?
