We need to do something about the Bot infestation! And, since we can't get the guy from Night Stalker, we need to come up with a solution!

Syd, can you add one of those "Insert the Following:" things on forum registration. You know, the thing that shows a gif with random characters on it.,(ie "JHR2hA" or the like,) that people need to copy?

I mean I know that the mods can erase the posts and ban the bots, but that's just like using buckets to scoop water out of a sinking boat. We need a perminent solution, like sticking a cork in the hole.

What about Admins must activate accounts before they are used, or a 24 hour wait before activation. Maybe that would deter the spammers, who would move on to an easier target?
